This movie might not be the best 4k example, however, the graphics are still amazing. I will say this, I have a 5.1 surround sound and this movie definitely takes the cake as the best movie I've watched on my home theatre! The audio is amazing! By far my favorite based on audio alone.

The 3-D Blu-ray of Pacific Rim has been my go to film to show off my home theater for some time now. But now that I've upgraded to 4K, Pacific Rim still remains my go to disc to show off my system, both the 3D and 4k discs for this film are amazing. Highly recommended.

Being a fan of this movie, i was excited to hear it was being released on 4K Blu ray. Current setup is Sony XBR850D, XB1 S and Pioneer 5.1 surround sound. This movie looks and sounds amazing in 4K. I have not seen many movies in 4K yet but so far this is my favorite with picture quality.

Thoroughly enjoyed the movie! Guillermo del Toro never disappoints (well, he DID bow out directing the Hobbit trilogy, but I digress...). Spectacular fight scenes and great action. If there is a downside, it's Charlie Hunnam's terrible American accent. Kills the illusion in Sons of Anarchy and it's just as bad here.

Big robots versus big monsters about sums it up. I was picking up a copy of Godzilla and while chatting up a Best Buy employee he recommended this. I found it very entertaining, solid action and special effects throughout. This copy also comes with an ultraviolet copy that can be redeemed and streamed through various apps like Vudu, CinemaNow, and others.

The movie itself was pretty good. Although not a true 4K movie, the conversion is truly what 4K and HDR are all about! Absolutely stunning to watch on my LG OLED B6! The color is amazing and the Dolby Atmos soundtrack is top notch. Highly recommended for anyone with an HDR/Atmos setup.

Pacific Rim brings back the old cartoon Robotek where a ship transforms into a fighting machine combined with a rock-em-sock-em robots game. The movie is entertaining (and let's face it, we all want an escape for a few hours, that is why we love movies) and action filled. Their are comedic moments and groan moments and wow factors galore. It is an enjoyable trip.

This movie is the disk you put in for your friends who have never seen a 4kUHD movie, The picture is awesome.The Atmos sound is mind blowing.Your subwoofer will put some work in on this movie...This movie is my go to disk.....

This film was pretty entertaining and moves along pretty well. Not always the most realistic, but that is to be expected then watching a Sci-Fi film of this nature. I liked the futuristic feel of the movie and the over the top fight scenes. It was kind of corny at times, but some good humor too. My wife loves the guy from the SOA series, so she even watched it too. :)

WOW! WOW! This movie absolutely brings our the true 4H HDR power of my Sony 49 X900E. Using the Sony UBP-X800 4K player with a high speed HDMI cable (2018) series. Pacific Rim is truly and entertaining movie but watching it on 4K its totally a stellar experience.

I originally didn't care about seeing this but eventually rented this movie on DVD and actually thought it was pretty cool so then I wanted to get it on bluray and see it again. When I found it at Best Buy in 3D, 2D and D.C. for less than some places had the DVD&D.C. I considered it a "No-brainer" and REALLY liked it in 1080p quality. Unexpectedly Fun in 3D.

cgi monstors of the deep and manmade robos .. all big and big bad .. destroys cities and crushes cars ... just like go zil la ... shoulda destroyed nyc ,, that woulda been a fun watch notch up .. for me ..

This movie was a great 4K experience it had great blacks and the HDR was in full effect. If you want to get a movie that will really test your 4k on your TV especially in the dark scenes the underwater fights and the fight scenes in the movie check out Pacific Rim!

Director Del Toro's venture into the big monster genre is, as it should be, over the top in all aspects: city scale destruction, huge special effects, colorful, LOUD and testosterone driven characters, Impressive, as long as you put your belief systems in neutral.

This film has several layers of plot, dealing with several different science fiction ideas. There is an alien invasion, giant monsters, giant fighting machines, and a world changed by devastation. The special effects are good, the background story nicely developed (but a bit derivative), and a few interesting plot twists. Overall, it stands up to multiple viewings.

This is a great action movie. Don't think too much about it. It has all finds of holes in the plot, but seriously, who would look at this and think it would be the best writing ever? It's got monsters. It's got Giant Robots. Lights, Sounds, and Action! Even my wife said it was good, for what it is.

This was a blind purchase based off of the trailers and reviews from friends. I'm a huge fan of anything Guillermo Del Toro directs or produces and this was not a disappointment. The best analogy I can offer is that it's a brilliant combo of Godzilla, Hellboy and Avatar. Jump in with both feet and have fun!

In the vein of the first great sea monster, Godzilla, this war between humankind and monstrous sea creatures has much more action and spectacle. Pairs of humans locked together in a neural bridge pilot giant robots to battle the great beasts. Fantastic imagery.
