This blu ray is a must own for your home theater system. The sound quality is phenominal! My living room shakes when I watch it. This is also one of the better 3D movies I own as well. Not much of a plot to be honest, but if you're looking for the movie to flex your home theater power, this is the one.

Pacific Rim is one of those films that everyone will recommend you to watch. Why? well, because it's a good film. It's not as awesome as some people might think, but it does live up to the hype. This is a film that you should have in your Blu-ray/DVD collection. No doubt about it.

this movie is a tour de force. OK let me clarify. The movie itself is loud and dumb and all that fun. It's great entertainment to turn your brain off for an hour and a half. But if you own a 4K TV with HDR or a sound enthusiast who loves Dolby Atmos this is the movie for you.

This movie was filmed in 5K and finished at a 2K DI. Even though it’s upscaled to 4K the picture is Amazing. What’s more impressive than the picture is the Dolby Atmos soundtrack. It puts you right in the middle of the action. I highly recommend this disc.

I truly enjoyed this movie. The main plot was good and the subplots were tastefully done. By this I mean the love story, the father/son relationship, and father figure/ daughter relationships were developed nicely, but we weren't overwhelmed by them. They enhanced the main story, but did not detract from it. The action was great.Loved the fight scenes.

A nice set for the best price! I already had this movie on DVD, but I wanted to see it at 1080p, it is awesome! I would like to watch it in 4k, but I don't have the setup. This is a visually spectacular movie, with a rocking soundtrack, and just a fun movie with heart!

This is a great movie especially if you're a fan of Neon Genesis, Voltron, or other shows/movies with big robots fighting monsters. The digital copy is in 4K as well (sometimes I end up with just 1080p even if it comes with the 4K disc). I highly recommend this!

If you like Giant monsters and Giant mechanized warrior combat then you will love this movie. The plot is typical for this genre. The acting is ok but believable. The CGI is very well done and the mechs are believable in their functionality. Overall I enjoyed the movie and look forward to the sequel.

I like the movie and i have it in BR but getting it on sale in 4K was the reason for this purchase. Best Buy had a way better price then others as I have seen this 4K film in the 35.00 range and i was not going to even consider that. The movie looks great and the robots don't appear fake or that the cgi has taken over.

I honestly did not have high expectations for the movie, but was more than pleasantly surprised. Great offering from Del Toro if you are a fan of his work. The extras give a fun insight into the creative process. Giant mechs have finally arrived on the big screen in something better than a cartoon!

This movie is definetely worth to be in your 4k hdr movie collection! Its a reference quality transfer. The type of movie you pop in to show the family or friends how good 4k HDR movies can be. (Also to show off that beast of a TV you just bought as well!! ;)

If you're looking for just a Blu-ray and digital copy, then you found it. If you want a combo pack to offer other playing options, then keep looking. I bought this along with what I thought was just the DVD version, but turned out to be a combo pack (wasn't labeled that way). I haven't opened it yet, so I thought it would make a good gift. :)

I love this movie on Blu-ray to begin with, but when I decided to pick up the 4K version in HDR, BLOWN AWAY!!!! The picture is astounding. I don't care if you already have the HD version. If you have the needed 4K equipment, pick up the 4k version. You won't be sorry.

This film can appear on tbe surface to be a summer movie but anyone who is a fan of Guillermo Del Toro knows that his films are not always what they seem to be. The film pops with top notch visuals and exceptional acting from Stringer Bell and the guy from Its always sunny in Philly.

A great escape from the summer heat for all fans of the summer movie going experience. The action is very good. The special effects are excellent. A couple of quibbles with the plot but nothing that would deter me from watching the movie on repeat viewings. Looking forward to watching it with my son once he is old enough for movies of this nature.

Classic example of a “B” monster/sci fi movie done right and updated for the modern times. It’s hokey and cheesy, and it knows it, but plays it as serious as it can. Highly enjoyable, and the 4K/HDR plus Atmos soundtrack are icing on this cake.

Because of the excellent cinematography, I gave the movie a 4 star rating of good. Unfortunately, the plot suffered. To me, there was a lot of time spent trying to get the viewer to buy into the pilots characters and interaction with each other but it just didn't work for me. The action scenes were great and that is what got me through the movie.

Pacific Rim was hyped to be a giant robot kaiju epic, and while it's not front to back giant fisticuffs, which seemed to be the reason it was savaged about the internet, it's still really fun. There are maybe 20 minutes of robot battles all told, but the human drama sections aren't completely awful and have some great comedy moments.

Pacific Rim is what action movies should be. No plot, okay acting, but awesome robots vs monsters action! For the particular product itself. You get DVD, Blu-ray, and digital version. Extras are great, and with 3 formats of the film you can actually gift the other formats that you don't use.

Movie: 3.5 Presentation: 4.5 A great disc to show off your 4K TV and subwoofers. As for the film, there's not a lot of depth to the humans and you don't care whether they live or die. It's just one of those serviceable films you can put in on a lazy Saturday or Sunday and veg on the couch.
