Excellent story and presentation from the nightmarish imagination of del Toro. The UHD gave details on the Kaiju not noticed in the theater. Make sure your wall art is secured in respect to the soundtrack.

I when to this film with low expectations. I was blown away. So I went back to the theater with friends. I am anime fan and this film made me feel the director wanted the bring animes like Gundam, Evangelion, and the Gunmarch Parade, Big O and many others. A must for anime and sci fi fans.

No . . . it is NOT comparable to AVATAR (greatest movie . . . ever) . . . but . . . Pacific Rim has a solid story line . . . believable and well cast characters . . . awesome special effects . . . and . . . my kind of ending. See this one again and again.

This movie brings out the fantasy of every kid's dream regarding monsters fighting giant robots. The movie obviously doesn't take itself seriously but it's entertaining from the beginning to the end. Great special effects & classic blockbuster of all ages.

I did not see this movie in the cinema because I did not expect it to be any good. What a surprise. It was excellent with lots of action and a good premise. Yes, there could have been more character development but in terms of a light movie which kept my attention; it delivers.

This movie looks incredible in Ultra High Definition (UHD)! With full 16:9 aspect ration and incredible detail and HDR, this is a great way to show off the UHD format. And the audio track is no slouch either. The Kaiju's roars will wake up the neighbors!

Saw it twice in IMAX. Needed basket-filler for an order so I could just pay with rewards certificates, it was on sale and got me to the total. If you like any of the Toho Godzilla movies, or Transformers-type mechs, you'll like this movie. If not, you'll have MST3K-style fun lampooning the plot, holes in the plot, dialogue, and acting.

The 4K quality is top notch, it’s better than at the movie theater. The action and fight scenes are some of the best I’ve seen. The dialogue is like an 80s action movie at times but it’s hilarious when it is. Great movie, would definitely recommend seeing in 4K if you have the option!

If you are a fan of giant robots/monsters, it doesn't get better than this. The premise is silly: giant "kaiju" attack from another dimension, and mankind is forced (of course!) giant robots to combat them. A lot of fun, great effects and decent acting for this type of movie.

I don't really care for the movie. My reason for purchasing was to see demo worthy 4k picture and sound and Pacific Rim delivers. Plus being 1.85 screen fills the entire screen which is different from most movies, one I'm glad to have for the extra picture.

Pacific Rim is a fun stylized monster movie. Humans have created giant mechs to fight back against the kaiju threatening the world. Highly recommended for giant monster movie fans and action movie buffs.

This was a somewhat original story and an intriguing one. Great actors and the CG is beautiful on blu ray. Action was great. I wanted more and more. The only thing that kept me wondering was that I wish there were more scenes or better explanations on the enemy in the movie. Kind of vague and leaves you piecing togerther the plot.

I've seen this on regular bluray, but watching it in 4K was truly amazing. The sound and visuals are so much clearer it made my eyes wander all over the screen to see all the little things in the background that were going on.

Robots and monster fighting for the planet, with a believable story line and really good Visual Effects whats not to like. this was a cool movie to watch with adult or kids. also has replay value so much going on that you don't catch everything the first time you see it, so you want to watch it again. good movie enjoyed watch it.

I really liked the idea of this movie better then the actual movie. It has some fun stuff but could have been much better. Really wish the fight scenes weren't so dark. It was kinda hard to see all the details of the monsters and robots. Overall it was a fun movie and maybe would have been better if it was about 20 minute shorter.

If you like either Mecha anime, Power Rangers, monster movies (Godzilla etc.) then this the movie for you. Tons of Fantastic action with giant robots beating up giant monsters and all directed by Guillermo del Toro, what's not to like.

This is one of my reference 4K movies and I pull it out when demoing my setup to friends. The picture is great, the sound is loud and the HDR pops with bright clarity. Highly recommended!
