This is a movie everyone can enjoy, just based on the special effects (CGI) alone. It's fun and doesn't take itself to seriously. I recommend it to anyone who just wants to have a movie night. It's an entertaining movie at the very least.

This is a great movie for 10-13 year olds, lots of robot/monster fighting, decent CGI, and a fast explosive action that is still PG. when I took my 11 year old to the movie, the movie ended and I said (well that wasn't bad), and he said (bad? That was AWESOME!). So there you have it.

Looking for a fun flick with lots of action? Pacific Rim is great for that. With over the top battles between Mechs and giant monsters, and likable characters. This memorable film is definitely worth the watch.

Have a good sound system and a BIG tv to get the real experience. A great movie with lots of action on a fairly original story line. It's not a heavy thinker movie.. but great for some action entertainment.

this movie is fun, plain and simple, does not try to be more, maybe a little over the top characters for exploration and details to the story but in the end its giant robots vs. giant monsters and fun carnage, worth watching multiple times

The movie was bought as a black Friday present for my family. The Blu-Ray/DVD combo was offered at a great price. After opening the DVD case, my family and I watched Pacific Rim on our Blu-Ray player and we thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

What a summer blockbuster should be....action-oriented, twists, turns, great cinematography and sound to match. The acting is not going to win any Academy Awards, but it ain't bad. In 3D, this film will have you jumping out of your seat. All in all, a more than decent selection.

For the Godzilla and King Kong fans out there, this movie should be a nice addition for folks looking for a film dealing with some Giant Monsters. Also, the special edition cover looks pretty sweet as well.

Very entertaining movie with great graphics and special FX's. The scale of everything in relation to each other seems pretty realistic. The plot is pretty basic and thats ok, because i wouldn't expect much more from this type of movie. Still enjoyed it enough to buy it on blu-ray.

Enjoyable monster movie if you like that sort of thing. Stunning visuals and special effects. Not an Oscar Winner, but something to enjoy with a bowl of popcorn.

I love this movie. It's a modern day throw back to the Godzilla, Mothra, etc monster movies with fantastic special effects, The story is well done and it's just a fun movie for the whole family.

This movie brings everything from heroics to kick butt action. Idris Elba is amazing. Charlie Day is amazing. A 100 foot robot is just glorious. I highly recommend watching this on bluray. Turn the sound up and get ready for a nonstop action flick.

This may be an upscale, but you won't notice it. The movie has everything you want out of a summer blockbuster, but I was stunned by the quality of the 4K. Definitely one to show off you system!

I know the ratings on this movie were ok but I loved it. It had action and a plot and it kept me entertained and interested which is more than I can say for some movies. Overall would buy it again.

If you're a fan of 3D films, The 3D is very effective in the movie. All the visuals are impressive. The story is interesting and exciting. I enjoyed watching this movie and will watch it again.

“Pacific Rim” rises above many of its ilk by adding some simple but emotional story lines. Elba gives the film a certain gravitas and the film certainly looks good. At the same time, it is loud, predictable, full of clichés and too long. For the genre, it’s pretty darn good.

I enjoy my fair share of serious dramas, artisitic experimental films and the sort. But rarely are they in 3D and rarely do they feature giant robots. This has giant robots in 3D. As such, I approve.

This is easily one of the best UHDs on the market right now. A stunning example of how great 2K DIs can look on UHD, with some great use of HDR and incredible audio. A must-buy for any growing UHD library.

If I had to recommend only one 4k movie, this will be it. Looks absolutely stunning in 4k + HDR. The sound quality comes with dobly atomos and good for those with a surround sound speaker system
