Excellent movie that I've seen many times and well worth having on blu-ray. Even my wife enjoyed it who typically is not a fan of this type of movie. Not your typical monster smash movie at all.

No joke, this is my favorite movie of the last few years. The HDR transfer is unreal. Every single frame looks like a million bucks. Do yourself a favor and get this ASAP.

I can't understand why this movie wasn't a bigger hit when it came out in theatres but it's tons of fun and the 4K picture and sound is essential for any fan's collection.

Highly underrated and underappreciated movie. Lot of fun to watch. What's not to love about gigantic robots fighting gigantic monsters? Brings back memories of the old school Godzilla films. Amazing in 3D.

This review wont give this movie justice unless you see it in 4k! The visual effects of this movie are stunning!! The only way to watch this is in 4k!! Trust me

As the title says, "This isn't Shakespeare." This is just a fun, loud, dumb movie that you can watch and appreciate for the graphics and for the picture and sound quality. The plot, and I use that term loosely, is laughable most of the time and the dialogue is painful. I know you might be thinking that this doesn't sound like a good review, but in fact, it is. I like this movie when I want to sit down and let my mind wander and crack jokes (Mystery Science Theatre 3000 style). If you really want to experience this movie properly, watch it and then go check out the site that gives "Honest Movie Trailers" to fully appreciate this piece of cinematic history.

My setup is an Oled 65 C7 matched with an Oppo 203 4k player and a Sj9 Dolby Atmos soundbar. This movie was the best I’ve seen my tv look. Absolutely fantastic movie.

special effects, loud and action packed!!! story line was a little predictable but my son was glued to the tube from beginning to end tube = Samsung 65" 7100 turn up the sound! sound = Klipsch towers

Just purchased a 4K TV and 4K DVD player and wanted to get a few movies to test it out. Both of these movies looked great on the new equipment (and were fun movies overall).

This movie is great for showing off your 3D/7.1 home theater. It's also a fun watch. It's not classic cinema, however. If you want something thought provoking, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a loud good time, this will fit the bill.

Even though this movie was originally filmed in 2k, they did an excellent job at upscaling it to 4K HDR. If you are a fan of this movie and have a 4k setup, this was worth buying.

4K is the way to go for the best visual in movies. If you are going to spend the extra money for a 4k video then be sure to get the proper sound system and 4K bluray player.

This was a good movie that covered multiple popular genres in our house. Reminds me of the classic "big robot v. monster" story line typical in a lot of anime.

One part giant robot, one part giant monster, and a great cast make for a great movie. Glad they are making a second movie. Hopefully, it will be as fun as this one.

This movie has a simple short story but it is so well played out and the special effects are awesome! This is a great movie to watch in HD. This movie is better than what I thought it would be.

Guillermo del Toro directs the first installment of Pacific Rim. Better than the sequel! Pristine 4k + HDR! Reference quality if you want to show off your display.

It exists to give you giant robots fighting giant aliens. It does that very well. Story and acting are less than spectacular, but who cares. Had to have this one at $11 on Blu-Ray.

The movie is almost perfect! I can watch it with my kids and get as excited as them. The colors, humor and awesome fight scenes are just cool. A giant robot fighting monsters is just a cool idea.

This was the first movie that we watched on our new LG 3D TV and it was AWESOME. The video quality was no different that when we saw it at the movie theater. Was really happy with it and my new TV.
