I had high hopes after really enjoying the original Pacific Rim. This film pales in comparison, with weaker casting, acting, and story. Still a loud mech v. monster movie, but it lacks the heart of the original.

Bought this cause it was on sale & 3D. I have the first movie and it was very good. This movie lacks something . I just couldn’t get into this movie. Watched the 4K version. Looks like I will be selling this one on eBay. Don’t recommend.

I thought this was pretty lame... maybe much more enjoyable for the kids. The effects were good, but I found the story weak, and the characters only marginally interesting. I say this is a rental or deeply discounted sales title purchase.

Two disks play perfectly until the exact same time on the disk at the last 5 seconds of the movie at a crucial dialogue moment. I'd seen the movie in the theater and didn't bother going back and getting a 3rd copy knowing what was said.

This is a beautiful movie, which truly makes use of 4K, but that's about the good I can say about it. The first Pacific Rim was an amazing science fiction flick, but the science fiction in this sequel devolves into pure silliness.

This sequel to “Pacific Rim” doesn’t seem to have to same momentum as the first movie and feels as if it’s made for kids. A fair watch, at least for continuity. Definite recommend watching the first before seeing this one.

I was very surprised at how boring this movie was. The only character I liked was Finn...only he was Storm Trooper who can shoot straight. Both my wife and I felt that the movie was trying to be more than just a fun movie.
