The original Pacific Rim is fantastic. Guillermo Del Toro is a master filmmaker that can conquer any genre he wishes. Stephen S. DeNight (director of this sequel) is a great director in his own right by bringing a lot of the grit and personality to the Netflix Daredevil series that made it so great. However, this sequel is a thin shell of what it should be. My guess is that DeNight was smothered by the studio system that can so easily snuff out originality and personality. Mostly, it's lazy - relying on what made the original great to pull it out of its own unoriginality. Stay away.

Was to much like the first one I think that they need to really go back to the board and look at the first movie and try not to copy so much into it make it worth of the mech bots to be more real not fake

Not the greatest acting. I wasn’t expecting a whole lot but I actually started to get sucked in about half way in. It had some awesome fight scenes, with some Godzilla level city destruction.

If not for the fact that I'm a bonifide die hard giant robot genre fan I would give this a flat zero! Guillermo del Torro shouldn't have bailed on this one because it was awful to put it nicely.

This movie was very disappointing. The graphics and details were past poor compared to part 1. The movie really did not have a plot it was just scenes that did not quite come together.

We were excited to find this sequel in the store. Unfortunately, this movie was not as good as the first. We found ourselves criticizing the characters and their dialogue early on.

I may have to wait and watch it in a few months again but I was disappointed. It really didn’t follow the first one as it should have and was lacking in substance. Yawn.

Something was differently wrong with this movie. Plot line was ok. Main actor was lousy. This is good as a rental only. One view and done.

I didn't enjoy this sequel as much as the first film. The entire cast didn't give any believability to their roles. Just another excuse to have a CGI fest.

I thought this film was average. Several notches below the original. Misses Del Toro's touch. Visuals and score are downgraded. Still worth a look though.

I bought this movie for the 3D version, and was disappointed in that it was not good. That holds true for the story as well. Should have read the reviews

First movie was great ,this one lost it for me. Cast was weak . But robots and monsters are great! I bought this movie for my collection anyways.

The first Pacific Rim was ok..this one is not good. If you trash the Transformers movies and not this movie you are extremely hypocritical.

Very disappointing. I thought the first movie was good, but on this one I felt like I was watching the Power Rangers from 20 years ago.

Pacific Rim Uprising was a disappointing sequel to Pacific Rim. The plot is boring and it reminds you of the old Godzilla movies.

This movie wasn't so well done. Main character was great, the rest of the cast was not convincing. Effects and robots are great!

This was purchased for a friend. I was not a fan of this one. The first Pacific Rim movie was very good, but this fell flat.

I love 4k movies. However..The acting is just so so. I was a little dissappounted. The first movie was a lot better.
