Good sequel

They did an ok job explaining Jake showing up out of nowhere, but it would have been better if he'd just been an unrelated new character. When you find out the goal of the Kaiju, it doesn't make sense why the US or Canada would even need a defense considering their target. Props for the Gundam statue. Despite the issues, it was a good sequel. They definitely set up a possible 3rd movie, and I'd want to see it.
