The first Pacific Rim is one of my favorites. A great homage to the "Saturday Creature Double Feature" modernized so to speak. The sequel does a good job of moving forward and it has great action, very cool Yeagers and a semi solid plot. Enjoyable to say the least. Great blu ray transfer. Great sound. HORRIBLE COVER ART. BLECH. Still a good buy. If you liked the first you will enjoy this.

This was worth watching but it was not as good as the first pacific rim film. Still worth watching.

Not as good as the original film, but definitely a fun film to watch. Special effects and cast was good.

We are asked to pay so much to own these discs... we should not have to make a choice between future proofing with the 4K version or expanding our 3D collections... I own a 3D Plasma. I can count on about 2 maybe 3 fingers how many times I've seen the 3D/4K versions bundled together... Hurrah for the decision to bundle Pacific Rim!... Come... on... studios... don't stiff us any more!

I never pass up Best Buy exclusives where they include 4k UHD and 3-D versions. I wish Best Buy gave the same treatment to every 3-D release. The 4K movie transfer for PRU is very good, though not as superb as those with 4K digital intermediates like Dunkirk or Saving Private Ryan. But, the 3-D version is the best way to experience this spectacle. When guests watch movies at my house, 3-D is what catches their attention; not the 4K.

Happy with the purchase. Shipping was faster than usual for Best Buy. Movie itself is just ok.

Bought this on a whim, liked the first movie but this is not even close to being as good as the first.

I saw some bad reviews before I bought this movie but it turns out not too bad. The story is more like a suspense movie with twisted points here and there so we do not who is the bad guys till the end - something like Davinchi code or Inferno. However this is not what the audience expected because people thinks that is an action movie and it does not have enough actions.

Many people had issues with the first Pacific Rim, but I enjoyed that one far more than Pacific Rim: Uprising. Uprising was kind of slow for most of the movie, and the ending felt rushed. Overall, the movie was not what I expected or hoped it would be, but Amara's character was highly entertaining. I would recommend this to people who have seen the first movie.

This is the sequel and this one is ok with some very good fight scenes, and looks awesome In 4K..

Decent flick that obviously not better than the first! But the 4k visuals are stellar!!!

It was an alright movie. The New Jaeger's are pretty Awesome!!! The Villain was a Surprise!!!

This is one of the few releases that comes with both 4K and 3D. Wish other studios would do this more often. The Story is a tad goofy but fun entertainment. Picture and sound are top notch however a step below the original movie in every way. The original is a reference quality disk for both 4K and 3D.

I like this movie, but it all seem somewhat generic. I didn't like how they killed off one of the main characters from the old movie. The monsters were exciting, but somewhat generic. I also hated the teenager aspect of this movie, there was probably two scenes they could have taken out. But overall very enjoyable, and something I can watch a few more times.

FANTASTIC RELEASE! I grew up on old Godzilla movie and Japanese special effects movie so the Pacific Rim movie holds a special place in my heart. While the sequel does lack that charm from the first film, it’s still a solid entry to the series and delivers the action you’d expect from this film! The 4K set is simply amazing as well! The picture, sounds and colors are simply epic to behold on your screen! if you’re considering buying this movie, spend a few extra bucks and go for the 4K set! Also includes Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D discs as well! Can’t go wrong with that! In short, loved this release!

Fun movie if you like giant robots and monsters, but not as good as the first movie. The absence of characters from the original movie (Raleigh Beckett, Herc Hansen, Hannibal Chau, etc.) is not mentioned or explained. There are a couple twists that are good, but nothing that will stretch your brain. The quality of the video, sound, etc. is excellent.

I liked the idea of the first one, but this was a second rate story with second rate acting.
