I enjoyed this movie but as is often the case the first one was better. It was nice some of the cast from the first one returned. aThe story picks up where the last one left off and is a good evolution story of the series. Visually and sonically a great home theater experience.

So much potential with the sequel. The picture looks great in 4K though.

A subpar sequel to an excellent original film. Superb audio and video.

Okay movie going experience not what it was from the first

It was not as good as first one it was too long for cross reference

Too few movies are getting the UHD/3D combo pack release. As a big fan of 3D movies as well as the crisp and vivid picture of a 4K HDR10 or Dolby Vision movie, I always love it when a good movie gets the released with both one pack. I hate to choose one or the other and don't like having to buy both.

Monsters vs Giant Robots. Despite the scores this movie received on Rotten Tomatoes, I enjoyed seeing this in the movies, and decided to purchase my own copy. The bonus features are an excellent addition. If you liked the first one, and enjoy giant robots fighting monsters, you'll like this offering.

This film can only be seen as fair in relation to the first film.

To sit down and emerge myself back into the world of Jaegers was amazing! The story was there to keep you guessing what would happen next. To sum it up, if you're looking for a great movie night with the kids, this is a excellent pick. To have watched the first Pacific Rim before this will help.

It wasn't nearly as good as the first one, but it held it's own. The storyline was a little weak, but the action and special effects were very well done. Good 3D eye candy, if that's what you're looking for. I would recommend it to those that don't want to think too hard during a big event movie.

This is the only version in existence where you get both the 3D disc and the 4K disc without being forced to double dip. Stock is extremely limited on this item, so if you like this movie and don't want to be ripped off by the scalpers, buy this 1st edition at Best Buy only. But be aware, like some of the Universal releases before it, it contains a DigitalMA code. That means you must redeem it in Movies Anywhere in order to get your iTunes Digital Copy and your Vudu copy. The code will not redeem in iTunes.

This movie is a great continuation of the Pacific Rim story. It has great action sequences, and a few twists thrown into the plot. They plant the idea of a third part to the story, but that may not happen because it was replaced in theaters before it could Spread word of mouth. You will get your fill of giant robots fighting giant monsters, what could be better. Bodega does a great job as actor and producer. Well worth your while. The home 3D era is at an end, hopefully my 3D TV will last a long while.

Not up to the first one . Expected more from this franchise

Would have been awesome to see this in theatres, the sound and visuals were phenomenal. I must say I liked the first one better, I just thought it had an overall better story, but this was nonetheless a stellar sequel that builds on the universe it set up in the original. 2 thumbs up!

It's fun. It's noisy. It's got a a goofy plot with OK acting. But. it will stand the test of time because it's got great special effects, stays true to it's sci-fi imaginary future and delivers everything you came for. The 3D is great. The 4K doesn't add much more, but for the price, why not?

Decent sequel to a good movie. Wish GDT directed it, but at least we got a sequel. Maybe it’s time for a Pacific Rim and Monsterverse crossover! That or at least finish the trilogy . Dolby Vision and Atmos make this demo worthy.

This time Del Toro takes more of a back seat in the production of this sequel and as a result seems a bit slower and less exciting than the first time out but the city scale destruction, volume levels, and over the top effects still pack a good punch.

just what you would expect from a typical Sci Fi movie

I think this story was a little weaker then Pacific Rim. The action in PR-Uprising was good. Lot's of explosions and thunderous destruction scenes. 4k-Ultra with Dolby Atmos really brings out the action just like in the first movie. I am surprised that PR-Uprising isn't done in HDR.
