This super Robots battle huge monsters to DEFEND earth.

While the story line isn’t up to the original, this is still an enjoyable movie. The 4K is definitely a step up from the standard blu-ray. But the 3D version is a huge step up (my 3D system is based on a 4K TV & a polarized 3D viewing system - just like the movie theaters).

I have to admit that I really enjoyed the original Pacific Rim with Charlie Hunnam. There was a seriousness and believability about it with his acting. However, the sequel seems a little too flashy and jazzed up and the actors are very young. I also don't care for John Boyega as an actor because his acting seems a little too forced at times and not natural. In terms of 4k content, sure, it's good. You are going to see some nice robots and action. I am more a follower of stories and good acting and the movies seems to fall short here. There a lot of movies that attempt to make up for lack of theme and good acting with CG and modern movie technology. The "yes" recommendation is because you will probably enjoy it just if you want to watch some action.

This movie was pretty good,although a little corny.

While not as great as the original Pacific Rim, this sequel is a good continuation to the story. Uprising shows us what the world can do when they work together. Instead of seeing a Jager program that is falling apart, we get to see a Jager program that is in high gear.

Now first out nowhere near the first one but it grew onto me. The movie shows the main character growing into maturity taking on responsibility. The quality on this 4K is phenomenal. One thing though that’s funny is that it’s puts you in the mind of power rangers lol

Just as good as the original. Its robots vs. kaiju all over again. Being the second movie, I don't believe fans expected much more except, to see scenes of the battles. Completely okay by me. John Boyega is good. Great to see him not stuck up in the Star Wars franchise.

You can’t go wrong with an action packed 3D movie.

With all the different reviews out there, I still bought this without having seen it before. When I watched it, I was so glad that I bought it. The story and twists within it were compelling and the action was incredible. Hopefully, they make more of these movies!

I was concerned about buying this film after reading a lot of the reviews on here. However, I really liked it. The plot was good and well constructed; a sequel that actually continued from the first film rather than just re-hashing the original story. Acting was OK to me. Dialog and character arcs were at least as good as the first film. The 4K version is stunning and sounds like errrmmm... big robots fighting!

Don’t get this movie; it is no where as good as the first movie. It totally felt like they were trying to make as much money off the film franchise as possible. Only thing they had going for the movie was the great special effects and cgi

I was actaully excited for this after Pacific Rim visually (and storywise) passed my expectations - both in 4K and 3D. It's ridiculous robot/monster fun and thats IT. Unfortunately this sequel doesn't live up to the original visually or in any other way. I switched back and forth from 3D to 4K multiple times during my first watch hoping to see something happen. Something that would wow me. I've literally NEVER switched between versions of a film mid-watch. But both 4K and 3D were almost AGRESSIVELY meh. I finally settled on the 3D because at least the action had a little layering added. But if you want more 4K+3D combo packs from big studios you're gonna have to buy this anyways to support the cause. Happy Watching!

Purchased this movie for a reference material. The PQ is AMAZING and the audio if fantastic. Story is a bit to be desired but watchable. I can't emphasis the PQ of this film in 4K! Would recommend this as a rental vs buy unless you want a reference movie

I actually enjoy this sequel to the original. Wasn't a fan of the original characters and these felt more natural to me. The 4K is nice with some improvements here and there. Would recommend for Pacific Rim fans.

This movie I was very sceptical on cause I did not like the first one at all. Big but here, this one I liked a lot. It is a bit predictable but that is ok. I would just consider this a fun movie and don’t expect to much and you will be pleasantly surprised.

I didn’t expect the story to be a high end nominee but I enjoy the movie for what great visual effects. The 4K is clear, the designs are amazing and crisp. The story ended up being a good one! Pop some popcorn and enjoy the ride.

I thought this was a good sequel to the first one. A credible way to bring the clash between mankind and the giant, underwater creatures back. Largely fresh cast that I felt held their own in the roles they played. Overall, a good and entertaining movie.

Liked the movie, but did not entertain as much as the first. That said, 3D lives on in this movie (wish more movies still came out in 3D)!! Looks amazing and really brings you in to the movie. 4K picture is great as well, but loses the entertainment value.

Compared to the first one it does not look quite as good. Thr first pacific rim in to is a visual treat. This one did well but some areas the cgi looked to cgi. Enjoyed the movie even though some of tje charachters were q little grating on the nerves.

It doesn’t match the 1st movie, but I liked it. I buy movies to be entertained, not to look for little differences to criticize. I was definitely entertained. You may or may not like the plot twist? I did, especially considering who was involved.
