It is a poor movie wouldn't recommend it to nobody

This is my favorite Michael Bay movie, right behind the Bad Boys movies. It has the signature Bay cinematography, amazing special features, great packaging. I'm telling you, if you liked this movie, this version is a must have compared to the non special edition which has no special features at all.

Pain & Gain is about the unbelievably true story about a man and his partners that decide to get rich by kidnapping and torturing a wealthy man into signing over all of his wealth to the kidnappers. The lengths that these men go to keep themselves living the lives they've always dreamed of is nothing short of disturbing, yet intriguing. What is most incredibly is how accurate the film is to the true story. Mark Wahlberg has another great performance, but the real treat is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who goes from gentle giant to a drugged up monster within minutes. It's definitely Johnson's breakthrough performance.

Funny movie, something different from the rest. Does get slow in some places and not Mark Wahlberg's best, but good nonetheless. I love Dwayne Johnson's character, he is hilarious.

Everything about this film is great from the script to the photography to the editing to the acting to the direction. Michael Bay pulls out all of the stops and delivers one of the best films of 2013. Make sure to get this Collector's edition to see some fantastic behind the scenes footage and interviews. Only wish there was a director's commentary as Bay does some of the best commentaries out there.

I enjoyed this movie but could not believe this was a true story .. Unbelieveable

The movie documents the slow disturbing descent into a horrifying crime spree. It's so crazy it would be hard to believe it if it weren't true... Really a good movie with quality acting.

I thought this was an action comedy, but in the end I felt dirty. The main characters have no redeemable value. Ed Harris and Monk going back and forth is genius. B rating
