So convenient having four functions in one appliance.

The microwave worked great for about 1 week. The unit began arcing and the microwave smoked. When you buy from Panasonic, you have to take the unit to an authorized repair center for a diagnosis and a recommendation for repair or replacement. Well, that process took about 2 weeks before they were able to connect with Panasonic and included us getting involved (at the recommendation of our service center). Now, one month later, we finally have a promise that a check coming from Panasonic refunding our purchase. Needless to say, no more consumer electronic purchases from Panasonic.

I'm sure this is a great item, but it is totally impossible to undedrstand how to operate. Instructions are not step by step, and difficult to find any info. I would love it if I could only figure out how to do all the different ways to use it.

15 months after purchase the microwave caught fire. Not the piece of bread set to thaw for 30 seconds, but the microwave itself--the waveguide cover that disperses the waves in the microwave. As we are past our one-year warranty we will take it in for repair but based on past experience with Panasonic I doubt they will cover the repair costs. We liked the unit a lot since it has so many modes of operation, but catching fire is unacceptable. Buyer beware.

Tried baking biscuits and I had to turn them over to get the bottoms cooked. Next time I tried on Air fry to see if they would cook on the bottom that way, well they were hard as bricks. Not a happy camper! Wish I had realized I only had 15 days to return it- because I wanted to send it back after 3 weeks!

died after one year, started smoking and made the house stink. Burning was not caused by food since there are no visible burnt spots, We paid a lot of money for this appliance only have it die on after one year, we bought it brand new in the store. Very dissapointed.

It’s not as cool as advertised. Microwave is weak. I thought food would cook futuristic fast. Cooking features are cool.

WARNING: FIRE HAZARD Have not even had it two years. Made sound as if defective and then witnessed electrical arcing on the right wall (if facing unit). It was not just little sparks, but actual electrical arcs not quite as bright as when welding. Imagine a little Tesla ball where the arc is attracted to your fingers on the glass ball. It was not just one arc, it was multiple at the same time. I'll be reporting this to the appropriate consumer agency, probably the FTC. The unit has been operated as per the manual.

Too complicated for day to day use for persons with average technical knowledge. Huge in size ,will not fit in small kitchen. Difficullt to make out if the product is defective . For example smart sensor calculates time and then after the time is over , cooling function starts and te table keeps on moving. You open the door and still t keeps on moving.Too complicated to understand fully.

Nice looking in the kitchen. Air fryer is not as efficient as others I have used. Microwave does not have a lot of power, but overall it works.

It works good not to sure about the air fryer yet or any of the other features because I have not used them as of yet.

Too complicated to switch from one use to the other. Air fryer takes an extremely long time, and vegetables still come out soggy. Well made, but for the price I expected more.

I tried the air fryer but the food did not cook like the instructions said it would. The microwave does a lot of stuff but lots of steps to do all the optional things. Too complicated.

In retrospect, I wish I had bought a less-expensive device that maybe only cooked a couple different ways. This thing tries to be all things to all people and is pretty difficult to figure out.

WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!!! THE PANASONIC OVEN ARRIVED IN QUICK WELL PACKAGED BUT VERY DAMAGED PACKAGING SO I WAS WARY OF THE CONDITION. BUT NO WORRY. THE OVEN ARRIVED WITH NO PAPERWORK, RECIEPT AND WARRANTY BUT ALSO NO MANUAL FOR INSTRUCTION ON USE AND NO COOKING BOOK. THEY ARE ITEMS I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR TO PURCHASE ADDITIONALLY WITH NO HELP WHATSOEVER FROM THE BEST BUY STORE AND THE ONLINE HELP IS OF NO HELP ALSO. I AM VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE QUALITY OF AFTER SALE FROM BEST BUY AND WILL LIKELY NOT SHOP WITH THEM AGAIN..... WAY TOO MUCH TROUBLE AND NO HELP.....

Love this microwave for all of its choices, I love the air fry function, especially for a healthy snack, warms meals great. It has a bit of a learning curve with all your options & functions, but other wise great buy.

Summary ———— This is a great 4 in one device (Air Fryer, Broil, Microwave, Convection) in one. As advertised, it does not take up too much space on my counter, it actually replaced my air frier and microwave oven. There is no pre-heating required and it is smart. i will talk about the smart features in a bit. Inverter tech for even heating Cons —— Expensive Review ——— DESIGN Its very well made, it is big (23W,14H,18D)and weighs about 40 Lbs but it will replace your microwave, convection oven and your air fryer. If you consider that, you will appreciate that it is a one stop shop. It is 1.2 cu ft but they have made intelligent use of space to put 4 functionalities into 1 appliance. Its all stainless steel and it may attract finger prints but you just need to maintain it just like your fridge. it comes with all accessories that you need for baking, air frying and microwaving. USAGE This appliance comes with a clock unlike any countertop microwave, first thing is to set it up. Most of the times on my over the counter microwave i use the 30 second function and use it in increments even for reheating because these traditional over the counter ones have a complicated sensor. With the Panasonic microwave/air-fryer/oven its got a great sensor - for both sensor cooking such as microwavable pop-corn OR reheating, just click the button Start or sensor reheat and that is it. No need to set timer! It’s that cool. Each of the modules have clearly marked buttons - Microwave, Air fryer, Convection Oven etc.. My 3 year old loves nuggets and fries and to keep it healthy , i use the air fryer module. Its just selecting Air-fryer button with one click and selecting time and the fries and nuggets comes out just as a regular air fryer in-fact better with even heating and crispier. For Nuggets , i also tried the “Combo” mode - (Microwave + convection) (Push Air fryer button 5 times) but for nuggets i did not notice any big difference. May be next time i will try it with chicken wings… Combo can also be used in Broil + Microwave. I tried the Convection only mode with salmon fillet. came out very good, evenly cooked. One thing i really love is the sensor reheat. Love to be able to reheat food without having the food getting too hot or unevenly cooked with cold spots/ The sensor reheat works great! it uses the steam from the food to adjust the time. great innovation. One thing to keep in mind is the, if you use it as a convection oven, this thing will get hot, you may not be able to use it as microwave immediately as you will need it to cool down. I always loved Panasonic products, excellent quality i am sure it will last long. Highly recommend.

Failed after 3 weeks. Don't buy from BestBuy.com as the return window closed after two weeks! I did not love this microwave from the start, but I was hoping it would last. It has started making a loud screeching sound and must now be returned through the manufacturer as BestBuy has such a lousy return policy.
