This microwave has a reheat function that works amazingly well. It uses steam to indicate when to stop and so far has never over heated any of my food.

This is a very nice looking microwave and very simple to operate!

Did a lot of research, read the reviews, weighed all the options and chose out of what was available locally without having to wait because we needed a new one asap. Have had this one now for two days and like almost everything about it as long as it's not running. Compared to the one we had (Sharp 1.5) this thing sounds like a jet taking off. Well, i am exaggerating a bit, but honestly, if you want whisper quiet, don't get this microwave. This, for me is the only fault it has but is enough to probably return it in the next few days. Will check out more microwaves after writing this review.

This microwave is way more powerful than the one it replaced. It's taken some time to learn to not heat something as long as our old one. We really like the interior size. We have large square plates and they fit inside and go around on the carousel. The only knock on this microwave is it is louder than our old one.

I had a 700 watt microwave for so many years that it was a great relief to get a new and powerful one. I no longer have to guess how much time to add to recipe instructions. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the fan is extremely noisy.

Frustrated by the fact that the timer can't be used when cooking/reheating/defrosting? What's the point. Also, can't see inside microwave, since the interior light doesn't come on when the door is open. Other than that, it's an OK microwave, it does the job.

Bought this because of its size and looks. Use mostly for reheating and cooking frozen veggies and other food items. The glass turntable often comes off the pivot. The track underneath displaces itself, too. I find it difficult to remember how to operate all the various cycle options. It is a powerful unit and we have overheated many a cup of coffee that has boiled over and spilled everywhere. It has taken a great deal of time to adjust. We usually have to power down. For our needs, this unit doesn't fit the bill. For others, it may just do fine.

It is a good size sturdy microwave that cooks fast.

The only instant buttons are for popcorn. I'd like a frozen entree or baked potato or frozen pizza, etc but all the other buttons are for lbs, time and levels. You will have to constantly go back to the book to see what level to use. The power is good but I absolutely abhor the buttons. They're useless. You'd think with the word "genius" on the face of the product, it would be smart enough to have instant buttons. It also has no countdown. When you start a level for a certain amount of minutes, it just flashes a dot. What about if I need to stir it after 2 min? I guess I need to set a timer so what good is this thing. I will never buy another Panasonic product again.

Nice compact unit with excellent power. Sleek design. My only negative is that I wish it had one touch buttons for common items or times, but overall, this is a small concern.

We find ourselves buying more and more Panasonic products. They are almost invariably well-designed and well-built. When our old Panasonic microwave blew, we looked at other brands, but did not find the combination of size, shape and quality we were looking for. So far, this new microwave making us happy. We haven't tested all its features yet, but it's powerful and fast and cooks evenly. It seems none of the new microwaves have door handles anymore, and we miss that feature. Reaching for a door handle is a hard habit to break!

Bought this model first in July 2012. Failed in January 2015 (30 months). Replaced it with the same model in January 2015. This one failed in January 2016 (12 months). Both failed in identical fashion (electrical burn smell, no heating). No warranty replacement. Service requires driving 20 miles to a center, dropping unit off, go home, return when done. If not under warranty $50 initial fee (almost 1/2 microwave cost). Best unit on market, worst warranty and service.

I had Sharp Carousel Microwave and it was working fine for more than 12 years. I just wanted to change so bought Panasonic product. The door won't close. Once open, you need to apply all your force to close it. After working for about 1 year, it stopped working. The door will not lock at all. Now after one year no support is there.

This microwave was bought as a replacement for a much beloved, older microwave oven that bit the dust. This one is definitely a worthy addition to our kitchen. It looks good in black and it has a nice turntable. It also has a cooking Smart Sensor button that does a great job so far of knowing how to judge how long and at what level to cook leftovers so they are done just right. I don't know how it manages to do that but it does. This microwave is great!

The interior light is on only during cooking. The light is not on when the door is open, making it difficult to see food, assess cooking, or clean. This is a silly design flaw that, as far as I know, is unprecedented (would you want your refrigerator light to be on only when it's cooling?). I tried it for 24 hours, tried to talk myself into it, and then took it back. Otherwise, after very limited use, it seems to be well built, good looking, with a lot of useful functions.

My family LOVES popcorn. We cook it OFTEN. After almost 3 months and many many....MANY different attempts and settings, this thing still kills popcorn. Popcorn in the middle quickly burns. BUMMER! Wish we had our old microwave back. Not sure if this is good or bad, but it is HUGE. It is also very light weight. It slides all over our counters. Push the button to open the door, the microwave slide back. IF I keep this unit, I am going to have to get some double sided tape to keep it in place. VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS BEAST.

This microwave is more powerful than most on the market so your food items will be cooked more rapidly than usual. The machine is easy to use and has had no problems so far.

The microwave works great but as some other reviewers have said, it is pretty annoying that the light only turns on when the door is closed and it is in use. There is no light when you open the door. That is a big design flaw. It makes it difficult to check what you are cooking and to clean the microwave. I did not think it would bother me but it really does. I am keeping the microwave because I do not want to deal with returning it and it works great otherwise, but I would not buy it again.

We use it daily and so far we have not been disappointed once. 1200 watts makes it powerful to cook fast It cooks evenly Correct size for us to place on our kitchen counter.
