I've had this microwave for a month now. So easy to use with so many options. The Inverter version with Genius sensor is truely genius!

Went from a really cheap small microwave to one that actually means cook for a minute in a half... the kids and I love it. Cooking time is very approximate on estimation of cook time!

Purchased in September of 2013. Unit worked fine for the first couple of months. Only complaint at that point, which we had accepted before purchasing it, was that the unit did not have a light when opened, only when cooking. After about 9 months of use, the unit stopped working once when trying to heat food. We programed the desired time, pressed 'Start', the unit started to go, then immediately shut off and displayed the time of day. This happened once or twice more over the following weeks, but never consistently. For the next 3 months, the unit performed perfectly. Then, at 1 year and 1 month, the unit had the same problem, which became more and more frequent, until it simply won't work at all. Looking at other reviews, it seems that this is a common problem, and it usually doesn't manifest itself until the unit is just out of warranty. Very disappointed! We purchased this Panasonic unit thinking that they produced quality products that would at least last 5 or more years. There were certainly less expensive units available at the time, with similar features. We will not be purchasing another Panasonic unit.

Cooks OK. But got to the point where you have to close the door 3 or 4 times before it will start cooking. Eventually, it quit working at all. Didn't last 2 years.

I bought this microwave because of its great reviews, however the microwave died within 8 months. Even worse Panasonic's customer service is TERRIBLE! I spent over an hour arguing about servicing my microwave that was clearly under warranty. They provided a service location over 70 miles away. I explained to them I wasn't going to drive 3 hours round trip to drop of the microwave or pay $40 out of pocket to ship the microwave. They kept repeating that they were paying to the repair and for it to be shipped back to me, but expected me to eat the cost of the shipping the microwave to the service location. Never again will I buy a Panasonic product, not only because of their terrible product but also their horrible customer service.

Unable to view water starting to boil, unlike prior microwave where bubbling was easily viewed thru door. Noise may bother some.

good looking and perfect size for my needs -- just filing space since you said my review was too short -- how silly

Bought this product about a month ago and so far I have no issues with it. It definitely heats up my food quick and even.

I'm still trying to figure out why people like this microwave so much. This microwave was everywhere we looked! It seems like there aren't any others out there. It's big, loud and the light doesn't come on when you open the door. I'm unhappy with this purchase. It just seems poorly designed.

It seems that Panasonic holds the patent on inverter technology. I was hesitant at first but thought that this new idea could be the up and coming thing, so I bought it. When it first starts the cooking cycle, the motor sound goes to a high level and then falls to a near stall. Not sure if this is part of the way this operates, but doesn't seem right. I went in to Best Buy and had a salesperson demo the one on the shelf and that one did the same thing but not as noticeable. Please remember, Best Buy backs 100% on all your purchases and will do anything to keep you as a customer. The question arrises.. Why did Panasonic get into the microwave market? When the door is opened, the light doesn't come on, only when cooking. Duh! Finally, this microwave is unbearably loud...so keep looking and I hope this review has helped.

I have had this MW only a short time, and it appears to work. My complaint is the interior light. It only is on when the unit is heating. I have never owned another brand that did not light when the door was opened. You have to use an eternal light to see inside the unit to check your product, or to clean the inside. This is pathetic for a higher priced microwave!

I like the extra power it has and it looks great. I do wish it had a light on the inside, but it's not a problem.

I bought this about a year ago. For 1200 Watts - I expected more. Overall it fit well & I liked the features. The door sometimes needed to be closed twice - after putting in heating time, but I got used to it -sort of. Now, about a year later, with light to medium use - it just stopped working after I had used maybe 20 minutes earlier with no problem. I unplugged, use a different source, crossed checked with other appliances & yes - it just stopped. I wish I had read reviews more carefully, as this seems to be an issue with this model. I really liked my previous Panasonic that lasted several years. That said, I am done with Panasonic. Too bad.

worst thing is no light when door is opened. BUMMER. I would have definitely exchanged it but I couldn't get any one to carry it back to the store. I really hate that there is no light when placing my food inside this microwave.

The microwave heats things differently than our old microwave, but we got used to it. Heating canned veggies would have them explode out of the bowl and the bowl would be a lot hotter than our last microwave. We got used to it, even though it was a bit unexpected. Right at the 1 year mark, the microwave decided to die. I saw that this happened to about 32 out of 1500 people on Best Buy's comment page...who knew I would be lucky 33. That's only a 2% failure rate, I guess - but it sucks being part of that 2%. Off to find another microwave...

This works very well. Sleek looking and spacious inside. However: 1. when cycle completes, the display shows the clock - back from timer. Instead, I would like to see "End" - sometimes, it serves as reminder. 2. When cycle completes, it sounds beep, but when you open the door, I would rather see beep stopped.

We have been using since 5 years. Working very well. Sensor cook is awesome for heating food. Most of the rice items comes out very fresh. I dont use most of the functions except using it for basic reheating purpose and it serves the purpose!

The only thing worse than the quality of the product was the disgraceful manner in which Panasonic dealt with my complaint. After only 25 months the oven simply stopped working. Panasonic's response was an annoying cascade system followed by stone-walling and interminable holds.Their answer was to refer me to a repair facility to pay 2/3 of the original price in order to determine (IF) a 5 year warranted part was at fault. I used to be a loyal Panasonic consumer. Never Again!
