This microwave is easy, fast, & intuitive to use. The "invert" feature seems to work well; very powerful for a smaller microwave.

Yes, it's a little odd. The interior light only comes on when the microwave is in operation but not when you open the door. This was bought to replace its big brother a Panasonic 2.2 cu. ft. microwave which, after many years of reliable service and more than a little abuse by the offspring, began to only work intermittently. This one does everything as well as the one it replaced did, just on a smaller scale. The Sensor Cook feature isn’t used very often but it seems to do what it is supposed to do. Inverter Turbo Defrost, Sensor Reheat and Keep Warm all get regular use and work well. If you have had a Panasonic microwave before you’ll know exactly what to expect if not, although perhaps a little pricier than some of the competition in this size range, this is a solid choice.

I like this microwave. It heats faster then my old one and is prettier. The defrost works better then any I've used before.

This microwave is replacing a 20 year old one. This one is much smaller and works great! Not too sure about the inverter technology but if you just want to cook or warm up food, this machine will do the job. Just as others have said, the cord is way too short. I had to buy a surge protector to bridge the gap between this cord and the wall socket. Also, the beep is very loud and the light only goes on when the microwave is cooking, not when you open the door. Minor inconveniences for the convenience of quick cooking and reheating.

Exactly what I was looking for to fit in a smaller niche, is a good value and powerful enough to heat quickly. I deliberately traded some of the more advanced features & functions in higher end microwaves to get something that would just be a simple, easy to use workhorse.

I needed a microwave that would fit in a specific place in my kitchen and this one fits perfectly and works well.

After looking at far too many microwave reviews and purchasing and returning a different brand that made weird noises when cooking I settled on this Panasonic microwave based on the good reviews and price point. The microwave heats foods up excellent and while the fan/motor hum along at a decent volume it's not overpowering and at the price point I paid I'm not concerned. I've read other reviews that knock the microwave because the interior light doesn't turn on when you open the door. To me this isn't a huge problem because I'm never microwaving foods in the dark. Overall this is a great microwave with a sound level and operations that are to be expected at this price.
