While it’s heating the food, the light is on inside the microwave, however, when you open the microwave there is no light. I’ve never owned a microwave that didn’t have a light when you open the door and if I had known this, we would have purchased a different one.

Although the item is adequate for what we needed, my wife discovered that the item was slightly lighter then she expected once we got it home. I should point out that the overall weight wasn't a factor we looked into at the time of our purchase.

Okay but no bells or whistles...

It's a great 'starter' microwave or if other cooking methods are mostly used.

Replaced two failed Sharp microwaves

When the 2nd one also failed, we turned it in for this Panasonic with simple features which I really love! Louder "ding" notification, a light colored interior, and the light which stays off with door open. <3
