It only lit up when the oven was in the heating/cooking mode. The old cheapie one that was replaced with this new Panasaonic did, so i expected a slightly more expensive one to do the same.

Okay Microwave

I love my old microwave much better than this one. This microwave doesn't light up when you open the door. You only see a light when the microwave is being used and the light is very deem.

This Panasonic has the carousel and some preset buttons which make operating it easier. The only down side is that it is not very large inside. It works great but If I had to do it over, I would have gone with a larger model.
