Also; you can’t push number 1 and it starts cooking for a minute, you have to manually put your time in: it does a good job heating the food though and defrost works better than any other I’ve had :

It is simple, intuitive to use, and works fine. We have only had it for a few weeks. It is as attractive and useful.

I looked at different brands and models, and for the money and features I decided on the Panasonic. The microwave works well and the only downside to this buy is it is smaller than the Sharp. If I had to do it over, I would look at interior capacity larger than 1.3 cu ft.

Also the beeps when the cycle is finished are fine - not too loud and they DO stop after you open the door of hit "cancel." There are no "quick" buttons (ie: hitting "1" on the number pad doesn't start one minute of cook time immediately - you still do have to hit "star")
