Customers are saying

Customers praise the 1.3 Cu. Ft. Mid-Size Microwave for its size, ease of use, and powerful performance at a reasonable price. Many appreciate its quiet operation and sleek design. However, some users note that the interior light is missing, the door can be difficult to open, and the buttons may require more pressure than expected. A few also mention inconsistencies in heating and limitations with the timer functionality.

I don't use a microwave for much more than reheating a hot drink or warming up some leftovers. This is large/powerful enough to do the job without taking up a huge amount of counter space, and without being overloaded with lots of bells and whistles that I'll never use. One star off because the door and door latch feel a little cheap.

This microwave actually replaces a viking we bought in 2007 which gave out. The power is great. My one complaint is that it slides, which I fixed using rubber feet. Still with the rubber feet I need to balance it so I can open the door. Still it worked so much better than the over cost viking. I'll never by a Viking product again.

It is more powerful than our old microwave. It has a smaller interior, though. Still learning some of the different settings. Someone in the family is using it throughout the day. We are very pleased with it!

I had a Goldstar (AKA LG) microwave oven that lasted over 27 years! One morning I was nuking oatmeal & the microwave oven made a loud noise. I assume that it was either the turntable motor or a turntable gear that was going bad. So, I went down to Best Buy & looked at the microwave ovens. My old oven was 500 watts & 0.6 cubic feet. Since I needed a new microwave oven anyway, I decided to get a bigger & more powerful one. This one is 1,100 watts & 1.3 cubic feet. I keep overcooking the food!

This was a big step down in power and size from my last microwave. It's very , VERY quiet. Works fine. Not as strong as the old one but gets the job done.

I can fit most of my Corning casserole dishes on the turntable. The microwave is quiet and heats the food well. I appreciate the ability to adjust power level. The touch pad needs a firm press, but since I have a young grandson with busy fingers and a good reach, that’s a good feature. It fits my table better than my previous Panasonic and is almost as large as my previous one. I’m happy so far.

We decided to go with this microwave because we had excellent experiences with Panasonic microwaves in the past. This is no exception. The space is huge, and the footprint is minimal. It comes with a whopping 1100 watts of food-blasting power: a generous amount for this price and size range. In addition to this, we love the simplicity of everything... no quirks, no special doors... just a solid microwaving experience. Love, love, love it!

You'll probably be surprised by how quickly this inverter cooks. It takes a few 'test' cookings before you realize this. It's 1250 watts and that's quite a lot of power. The interior is also fairly large.

We bought this same make and model many years ago. It finally gave out. After looking at the options, we could not imagine any other model. Right size, shape, features, power, appearance. We're happy with it.

I am satisfied. The microwave is easy to use, does all the normal functions you would expect and was a reasonable price. Two things I dislike are 1) the metal on metal clang when you close the door. It needs a soft seal. and 2) it is so light the entire microwave moves when you press the button to open the door but, these are things I can adapt to.

The microwave is fine, but setting the power and time on the control panel sometimes requires two or three attempts. Could respond better.

Our GE microwave oven died, and we went looking for a replacement. This one got good reviews and the price was right, so we purchased it. Cons: I wish it had "quick start" buttons. For example, if you pressed "1" or "2" on our GE, the oven would begin immediately for 1 or 2 minutes, respectively. (If you wanted to enter a specific time, you pressed the "time cook" button first.) Also, on the Panasonic, if you press "quick 30 seconds" (or some such label), you still have to press "start"; why not have it start immediately?

We loved our Panasonic microwave but it stopped working so we needed to replace it. Of course we couldn't find the model we had but this one had a number of the same options, not as many, but some we used. Auto cook fresh vegetables or frozen for example. We did have to sacrifice a small amount of power too. Works well but sitting in the same spot as the other one it seems to get hot on the top. Also the buttons aren't as responsive you have to push in a select area the older one just anywhere on the number or start. It works well and overall its fine but we do miss the original Panasonic. Seems like things should improve not go backwards.

Perfect size for me. Most are too big for my space. The door latch is hard to push in to open the door. The dark control panel is hard too read so I put red tags on the important buttons. Much easier to use now. I would like memory buttons that I could program with custom times and power. So far, it works pretty well.

This microwave is exactly what we needed. After our family size one stopped working, I looked for something smaller, but just as efficient. The size allows for it to fit anywhere, countertop, over fridge, on a cart, and it still fits a large size bowl or tupperware for easy and fast heating. Easy to use, and easy to clean!

I looked at several models, and brands, picked this one because of the power (1100 wts), but very disappointed in Panasonic for not having the light come on when you open the door, to put the food in or out. The food doesn't need to see itself when it's cooking. It has a light, but only when cooking. Kind of dumb. Huh.
