I bought this model as it's set up to be built-in to a cabinet. I also bought the NN-TK732SS trim kit for the installation.
For a microwave that is made to be built-in to a cabinet, the display is a joke. Besides the fact that it's dim, there are viewing angles that cause the display to entirely disappear.
Also, while made to work with the trim kits, there's a couple things to know that I wasn't aware of. First, the trim kit inside opening is not the same size as the microwave's outside dimensions. This means that there's a large noticeable gap between the microwave and the trim. Second, the legs don't have any adjustment to them, so you can't vertically adjust the microwave in the opening. In my case, the microwave sits on the bottom edge with around an inch gap at the top.
I haven't had a chance to even use this microwave yet, but I had to leave a review as I'm flabbergasted as the lack of clear information on using this with a trim, and the lack of foresight for how an in-built microwave is expected to be used.
See photo for dim panel, large gap, and off-center, non-adjustable vertical alignment.

Hello! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! Kindly take note that the trim kit you installed is for a 30" cabinet, which means it will have a bigger gap. For proper operation, the oven must have sufficient airflow. Allow 3 inches (7.6 cm) of space on both sides of the oven and 1 inch (2.5 cm) of space on top of the oven. -M

A perfect microwave for a single person or a couple. It's more powerful from our previous model, so we've learned to turn the heat down or shorten the time for many items. As show in the photo, it easily fits on our countertop under some shelves. One complaint is the small display monitor with blue digits that is hard to read.

Working perfectly. Cooks quickly as it should. Pops popcorn better than any microwave I have owned. Just press the popcorn button and select the size by pressing the button. There is a quick reference to the program cook options inside the microwave. For example, if I want to heat up a cup of coffee I will press the coffee/milk button. Then cycle through the selections. First press 1-1, second press 2-2, third press 2-1, and the fourth press 2-2. If you wish to cancel press the stop/reset button.

Starting small fires on frozen lunches and paper coffee cups even when warmed up for 2 min or cooking for 5 min--I no longer trust it and have only lightly used 90 days and coffee cups--returning for fear of major disaster

I bought this as an "Open Box Excellent condition". It arrived damaged on all sides. It was poorly packed, but the damage was there before the packing. I blame Best Buy, not UPS. They clearly sent me a heavily damaged microwave and will blame UPS. It looks like it came out of the movie Pet Detective after being kicked down a hallway.

Good size, easy to use, looks good in our kitchen.
The Sensor Reheat function has been working really well for us when warming up leftovers - better than our previous (non-Panasonic) microwave did!
1250 watts of power heats things up very quickly, so we've had to adjust cooking times downward a bit to avoid overcooking some items!
Some reviews that we read included complaints about the "dark" interior. Unlike a lot of microwaves, the interior is grayish-silver rather than white. Yes, it does make for a darker interior, but that hasn't been an issue for us so far (although it may make it harder to spot areas that need to be cleaned, as splatters would show up more easily in a white interior).

I bought this unit to replace my 16 year old Panasonic unit that stopped working yesterday. This unit is very similar to that one in size and function (the glass turntable from my old unit fits perfectly in this one). I hope this unit lasts as long and works as well as my old unit.
Cons: As others have said, the inside LED light is a joke. I guess in a dark room it makes a difference, but in a kitchen with normal lighting it is of little use. I think this new unit has less transparency in the viewing window making it more difficult to see what is happening inside. The other obvious issue - also related to light - is the dullness of the clock/timer indicator. Again, in normal kitchen light they are had to read if I am more than 3 feet away from the unit. They are WAY dimmer than the old unit. Not sure WHAT Panasonic engineers were thinking (maybe that saved them 50 cents per unit). This new unit is noticeably lighter than the old unit. If I push the Start button too hard the unit actually moves. None of these cons are significant issues for me.
Pro: There are a couple of new features - like a Keep Warm that sound like they might be useful.
All I wanted was a unit that worked just like my previous unit and would last as long. So far, this unit is close enough. I can even use the same times for heating some of my typical foods (32 seconds for my english muffin) !

Replaces my old one from 2009. The new one is a little larger. But negative was the price which was $125.00 more than in 2009. Microwave controls are the same. Another issue is interior light is dim and doesn’t light up the entire interior. Hopefully it last as long as old one but the cost and interior light is dis-appointing

I Think It's Good So Far

I have to say I have not tried all the features on this one. But I think I've tried enough to review it. I find it g-normous: more space than I need and it claims more counter area than I had wanted my new mic to. But it had the cyclonic inverter system and was in my $$ range. I wanted something VERY energy efficient and I think this will be. I don't change the power level and they could lose the clock forever, since I unplug my electrics when I'm not using them.
The defrost function is meh, IMO. I can do that with the regular controls and it seems to be about the same amount of time, albeit with more even thawing. I wish they had more button sets on the outside. I don't care about heating coffee/milk/tea and don't eat that much popcorn. Those are the only 2.
But I am getting the hang of sensor cooking and I like it. That's where I've noticed the most difference from my old non-inverted mic. For instance: 5# sack of russets. Scrubbed and stabbed (so they don't explode), I arrange half of them on a paper towel and do Sensor 9. It tweets 2x for me to turn them over, which I am either too lazy or busy to do. Tweets 5x when the cycle is done. Because I have not turned them over, I usually have to do Sensor 9 again. But not always and even if I I have to do that, it does not go the full 10 minutes again. The oven knows when to turn off! You do have to mind the "set" time, that is the resting phase after cooking. But that's common to most mics I've had and saves energy. So 2.5# potatoes take 10-15 cooking minutes. On my old mic, I hit "baked potato" 3x, sometimes 4x for that 2.5# load, which came out to 15 to 25 minutes, depending on the density. Heating and reheating food: I reverted to my old use of the regular controls. All the food I've tried is definitely more evenly heated but there are still some cold spots. Look at their diagram to see it. The heating is faster but my old mic was really old so it's hard to say if it's because this one is new or if it's really faster. It's not a huge difference when you're just heating something.
My use of any mic oven is not complicated or every day. But I have found it to be useful and do want a mic in my kitchen. I think this is a good one.

We needed to replace a 12+ year old microwave that I loved and tried to find all the features we wanted in a current model but couldn't. This Panasonic sounded like the next best thing we could find locally. We've now had it for a year, and I give it four out of five stars. It's high powered and seems to heat food quickly and evenly. It also has the sensor feature to detect how long something should cook, along with some other alternate cooking features, but we mainly just use the regular power and time settings. The three things I don't like about this microwave are: (1) The interior light is on the side of the unit, not the top, and it's too dim. It's almost useless during the day to be able to see inside the microwave without opening the door, and even at night it's not as bright as it could/should be. (2) When the cycle times out and the buzzer goes off, even if you push the button to open the door immediately after the food is done, it keeps beeping. My previous unit would stop beeping when you opened the door yourself, which is great when you're trying to minimize noise in the house to prevent from disturbing others, but you can't do that with this unit. (3) This is just a personal preference, but I wish this microwave were about two inches taller. I have some deep dishes that I sometimes use in the microwave, and the length and depth of this are perfect for our purposes, but just a little more in height would make it even better.

Got this Panasonic Inverter microwave to replace a similar microwave that died after 20+ years.
First the good. It's powerful, quiet and easy to use.
Now the meh, the internal LED light is dim and sort of blue/white that seems to cause more shadow than light. Also, the blue display is not very bright so don't count on using it as a kitchen clock you can see from the dining room.

Been searching for a microwave to replace my old one. This was the perfect size for my cabinet. It's large interior is contained in a relatively small footprint. I had to search a lot of brands to find one with large interior that would fit into my small space. It has some special tornado heating that really heats evenly. i have yet to spatter anything on the interior. I think it's the inverter technology thats keeps things heating evenly. I heats and cooks perfectly. I think its quiet too.

This Panasonic microwave is very good. It's rated to work at 1250 watts & cooks/reheats up your food or drink evenly & it's hot. So no complaints. Very much easy to use. My 2 thoughts on this Panasonic microwave is that it could use a stronger internal light, it could be brighter to see what's happening inside. The price unfortunately is on the high side. So wait for Best Buy's next sale & you'll be happy with this fine choice.

This microwave is much bigger than it looks from the outside and has one of the smallest outside measurements of any we found. That is why we bought it as it had to fit on a shelf that had cabinets on each side. It works well, is powerful and does the job quickly. The only minus is the display is not very bright and is not easy to see unless you are up close to it. Not a biggie though.
