Good Microwave for the Price

It got a good review by Consumer Reports and I find it's a very good unit - very similar to the GE. Like any product, there are good and bad aspects. Good -Works well -Compared with my old GE, the buttons are much easier to read in low light (white on black vs black on SS) -Wide and deep for this size, 9"X15" baking dish fits and rotates Bad -My main complaint is how LOUD it is when the door closes. Not a reassuring clunk like my old GE, but a loud bang. Even trying to close it gently, the latches catch and slam the lightweight plastic door against the frame. Not something you want if you are heating breakfast while others in the house are asleep. On the whole, I'm satisfied with the unit. It's a very good microwave for the price, but just be aware of the noise if you are trying to not disturb light sleepers.

Good Microwave, just too big for our space
