Great Microwave, But Don't Like the Model Updates

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the last Panasonic with Inverter over ten years ago, and when it came time to replace it, we did with the same type Inverter model. It always worked well and heated food up very evenly, which is the most important feature. The last one was essentially trouble-free. Minor fixes, due to age, such as light bulbs or door switch were easily done. Easy to use and the various options such as defrosting and power levels are something we use all the time. However ... the dark grey interior is awful as it is hard to see what needs cleaning, unless that was the plan! Also, the new "no" watt light with the combination of the dark interior, which does not provide light reflection, add to make it extremely difficult to look inside to view the cooking progress, especially heating liquids, as the cooking time varies. Whoever had these great improvement ideas needs to be given a "bad puppy" reprimand. Why changes for the sake of changes? Don't fix what works. Overall a great microwave and would recommend it, having used other microwaves made by other companies over the years that did not come close to the even cooking of foods and ease of use as this one.

Power At Your Fingertips

What else do microwaves do other than giving you power at the push of a button. It also pops popcorn, so thats a plus.

Microwave oven purchased from Best Buy.

The unit was bought from Best Buy on Stevens creek store in San Jose. The unit was easy to install and very easy to use. I will recommend this unit to anyone. ramu M

Panasonic 2.2 Cu. Ft. 1250-Watt Cabinet Microwave

So it was a " near identical " one to the one that needed replacement... It installed beautifully and runs well and the existing face plate ( trim kit ) fit over it perfectly.. Your salesman was very helpful and we completed the deal in less than 15 minutes... THANKS to Best Buy !!!

Very similar to our previous one, so we did not have to learn a lot of new buttons. If you are replacing an old one, note the child lock. It is a bit of a pain until you figure it out.

So far, it's been just as good as the old one. Just one slightly annoying safety feature on the new one: have to press a button to unlock the door after using it.

Terrific Microwave

The first lasted about 10 years. It heats food evenly and it’s very quick. Do not like the child lock but can be programmed to bypass it. First one came damaged.
