The microwave does not work!

So when I needed a new one, I bought the exact same brand and model. The new one would not work. I spent HOURS on the phone trying to get help from Best Buy. The first rep tried but couldn't get it to work. The second rep was rude and not helpful at all. I am totally disappointed.

Arcing and Sparking after 6 weeks

On September 21 it started acting like there is metal in it even when empty. Note that you only have 15 days to make returns to Best Buy. That is ridiculous. Hopefully Best Buy will make it right. Also note that this microwave is massive and burns popcorn to charcoal. We've tried all settings for popcorn bag weights with various + and - settings and it either chars it or leaves it unpopped. Junk. Bad purchase.

Cheaply made

The door did not line up and hung down on the right side. It also was loose on the hinges, which made it hang down. The materials for it just felt thin and cheap.

Died with H98 error in 18 months

H98 error like other reviewers mentioned. Very bad quality product. Door open button spring was also cheap and want working properly. Panasonic quality had gone down a lot.

Electrocutes Me!

The problem is when the door is open there is an electrical current that sends an electrical zap to my hand. Might have to return it and try a different one.

The exterior of this oven is cheap silver paint, NOT stainless steel. Fortunately for me, I was able to swap the same size genuine stainless steel outer casing from the broken microwave oven I was replacing. Otherwise I have no idea what people do to get real stainless steel these days.

Thankfully we got the four year geek squad protection on it because it has needed replacement year after year and today it is February 9, 2022 and it just died again last night! What is with Panasonic making pieces of crap microwaves?! We need a large 2.2 ft.³ microwave which is the only reason we go for this make & model!

Dangerous product

The first got very hot on the top and smelled like it was burning. Brought this one home same problem. Called Panasonic and the said send the unit. Took it back to Best Buy for a refund. I believe that the unit had major problems and is a hazard because of how hot the top gets and may even be a fire hazard. Interesting that Best Buy is still selling this unit putting their customers at risk of injury.

Doesn’t hold up

Fast forward 14 months later (2 months past 2 year warranty) and it cuts off in middle cooking with code H98. Meaning power supply issues aka bad magnetron. Complete trash.

I made the mistake of going into the store to ask for help, and of course they ordered me the wrong one. Trim kit looks nice, if you have the correct model.
