This microwave was purchased to replace an older Panasonic microwave which had finally run its course. This microwave works great so far, and has none of the issues yet that have affected older Panasonic models such as ours (issues related to door closure). Of course our older model did not show these for at least a couple of years. We have seen claims that these issues have been addressed - only time will tell. One thing about this particular mode is that the timer is set with a rotary knob and not a digital keypad. This takes a little time to get used to, but certainly does not affect operation one bit. I believe that Panasonic has the best microwave technology, which is why we bought another.

We bought this to replace a similar Panasonic model that was 15 or so years old and the dial had started to fail. We loved the old one and love this one too. I like the sensor reheat and that it's so powerful. When heating frozen items, you can cut some time off the recommendation as it's more powerful than most microwaves. We bought the trim kit on Amazon and it looks just like a built in for a fraction of the cost of a built in.

So big and has a great look. Food comes out hot with less than a minute which will save on electricity. Dislike the finger smudge when touched.

This microwave replaced one which was the exact same size/power. However, it was never as quiet as this oven and had an annoying feature. It sounded the end of cooking signal every 15 seconds or so when cooking was complete. This signal continued until the door was opened. It was not consumer adjustable,

This is one of the best microwaves you can buy. It does a fantastic job. It is large inside and has an interior light. The controls are straight forward and easy to use. Food is evenly heated and tastes great. I researched this product very carefully and compared it to many other similar products. It is a fantastic Microwave.

I have really enjoyed this new microwave oven. It is a quality built oven. It looks good, performs good and has a great design. It also has good power and cooks even .

This is the second Panasonic Microwave we purchased. The last one lasted 15 years before our mad cap family of 7 just pushed it one meal too far. This models is easier to use, less buttons, better automation, and still has the largest capacity and power. From a large pizza to helping move out Thanksgiving Dinner trimming or just 150 meals and countless hot snacks a week. It's a proven work horse. You'll need a large elevated shelf for an easy install. Simple unplug the old one and plug in the new one.

We love this microwave! Simple and easy enough for the kids to use, and smart enough to reheat things perfectly. It is LARGE, so it takes up a lot of space, but it is a fantastic microwave.

I have owned and used quite a few different microwaves over the years and this is, by far, the best. The technology Panasonic uses to defrost and auto-heat food is way ahead of the competition (until their patent period expires). Most folk think a microwave is a microwave, and it is down to looks and how well the menus work, or how long the oven lasts. Yes, those are important to some extent, but how it warms food is really important. Buy this Inverter technology, you will not regret it!

The microwave has been delightful. It's large size can accommodate multiple dishes at a time. It's very easy to use and easy to clean. Very much enjoying the pretty new microwave.

This beautiful microwave is easy to use and maintain. I've had it for over 2 months now without any issue. It warms up food uniformly. It is very efficient.

Purchased this to replace it's earlier incarnation that was destroyed by a near miss lightning strike. Have had Panasonic microwaves for the last 20 or so years. Which means only two previous to this one. They are "full sized" so just about anything will fit. The carousel assures even cooking and the sensor cook is very accurate. The dial for setting the cook time is different from earlier keypad inputs, but after using it for a while, it works very well. The 1 minute button saves dialing and the proportional cooking level has it's own button, also. Great machine.

Lot of power and Big inside........................

I was skeptical of the turn dial instead of digital , but we love it and it is very simple to use. Everything comes out perfect, I use my microwave everyday.

We went through several different microwaves, all of which either had problems or did not fit properly. With BestBuy's great return policy coverage included in the product protection plan, we chose this Panasonic unit. We love this microwave! It has a huge interior with a huge turntable. Finally, an oven with a LED light! I don't know why so many manufacturers still use incandescent bulbs and make them almost impossible to change. This oven has the power, versatility and cooking options to cover just about every type of food or beverage. Highly recommended!

Doesn't take much to heat things up! I like the way it looks and matches my other appliances. I had a microwave that lasted about 23 years so I am hoping this one lasts as long as the last.

This microwave is big and have never had an issue with it. Very easy to use. Definitely worth the money. And will purchase another one when needed in the downstairs kitchen.

This Panasonic NN-SD987SA was a very powerful 1250w unit . My old one was 1300w and cooked slower than this 2.2 cu in unit . I am very satisfied .
