At first I was a little apprehensive about the controls but it turned out to be simple to use. The automatic sensor, especially for reheating, is marvelous. I have baked potatoes, cooked fresh and frozen vegetables, melted butter and heated donuts. So far everything has turned out great.

Great microwave and looks great. The door closes rather loudly but otherwise is a wonderful appliance so far. It was a perfect fit replacing our old built in. There's supposed to be a way to turn off the beep when pressing buttons, but I can't figure it out and the manual is pretty useless.

Love the turn knob control to set cooking time. Prefer that over the standard keypad control. Nice powerful unit as well. The stainless steel finish is attractive but does not resist fingerprints as much as I would like. Not a big deal though.

I've had the new Panasonic NN-SD987SA microwave for a few weeks. I slid it into the existing slot in my cabinets next to the oven with a surge protector. The door seems delicate and it is best not to slam it shut. Everything is fine and I'm satisfied.

we decided to get the same microwave that we had before. It is easy to set up, operate, clean and large enough to make something in a large casserole. I would recommend.

Does just fine, not as "woke", as the LG it replaced!

Features on this mircowave are better than our old one. The wife was not happy about the controls at first until she discovered how easy everything was to operate on this unit. Best mircowave I have ever had so far. Thanks

We just got this microwave and couldn't wait to try it after reading the good reviews. It's only been a few days but this appliance is awesome. Setting cooking time is a breeze: just turn the knob to the time you want. And indeed the cooking is even throughout the food. So glad we bought this,

I can't give 5 stars because I haven't used all the options lol. I can say it cooks quicker than the old one and more consistent. No cold spots. Definitely big for the counter but worth it.

This unit is nearly identical to the one that it is replacing that we had for about 10 years. Cosmetically it is a little different. I like the blue lights on the control panel and the buttons are oval rather than round or square so it looks more up-to-date than the older model. Because the control options were the same and located in the same places as our older model, there was no learning curve in using it for the first time. There may be some improvements in terms of one-touch menu items, but we never use them anyway, so I can't comment on that aspect of this unit. I continue to be impressed by the quality of Panasonic products.

I moved to a rental and needed better cooking options. This microwave is attractive, easy to use, and versatile. The easy cooking options lets me control warming and avoid "exploding" or over-cooking. The stainless steel exterior cleans easily and is very attractive!

We loved our old Panasonic Microwave so much that we bought the same model without looking at different brands. It's easy to use and the print window is large and bright so anyone can read it. We do a lot of cooking, not just heating up, so the roomy interior is great.

Replaced a microwave that was 20+ years old. I love the new one -- I have a freestanding cabinet that it is on. Its large capacity gives me great flexibility and it's easy to use. So far very satisfied with the quality of cooking and ease of use.

This microwave works amazingly. It was a massive upgrade from waht we had, and was very easy to set up.

We purchased this microwave to replace a very similar Panasonic one that we owned. This one has several features that we really liked that some others didn't have. So far it is working great. We're hoping it will work well for many years to come.

Replaced a 1200w GE microwave with this. Cuts heating time down by half. Very powerful compared to the GE. Only issue is the stupid trim kit costs the same as the microwave.

I bought it as a gift for my parents and they just love it. It looks good in their kitchen and works great. There are no issues with this micro so far and they like the Stainless which blends in with the rest of their appliances. I would buy this Micro again.

This microwave cooks perfectly! I also like the inverter defrost. My food does not start to cook like my last microwave. Only reason not a five is because you can barely hear the timer (clock timer for non microwave use) and you can't use the timer if the microwave is in use.
