    The one it replaced required more force to close and latch the door - this one is easy to close and latch. I really like the pulse-width modulation of the microwave emitter's output rather than bursts of full-strength radiation. Also is much lighter than the really old microwaves (think Amana Radarange).

    This particular microwave is distinctive in that it has a dial for a timer. This is actually really convenient after one gets used to it, and probably extends the life of the microwave as this is the most highly used section of the microwave itself. Happy with this.

    I have had this microwave for a little over 2 years and I am so pleased with it. It cooks evenly and has a turn table in it that keeps you from having to rotate your container. It reheats, sensor cooks, and has so many good features. I have not had any problems with this microwave and I use it daily.

    I chose Panasonic because of the inverter feature which allows you set the actual power level the oven uses unlike others that run at full power then pauses and runs again to achieve lower power settings. It does a great job defrosting meat without drying out the edges.
