A minute after placing the order I realized I ordered the wrong model. I tried to cancel immediately but it was not possible. Eventually I found a chat where I requested that it be cancelled and the representative confirmed the cancellation and I have the transcript. A couple days later I saw that the shipping was processed so I had another chat with the representative and he again confirmed that that it is canceled and the shipping is stopped and I have the transcript. Another three days later and the microwave arrived anyway. I had to make the trip to UPS and return the package unopened. They confirmed it was received but I am still waiting for the refund. Huge amount of wasted time. Unlikely to order anything again.

The new Panasonic family-size, stainless-steel NN-SN97JS microwave oven we just got has been a big hit with my family. We have an 11 year old Panasonic version of the family size microwave with inverter power control and 9 sensor cooking food categories. The new microwave oven with its stainless and stylish exterior looks really nice, also it is quieter in operation and door closing and opening is easier and quieter. The sensor cooking food categories have increased from 9 to 20 in the new model. I have been trying to think of how many microwave ovens we had in the 22+ years before we got our first Panasonic with the inverter power control and sensor cooking features and I come up with at least 7 from various manufactures before we got our Panasonic. The Panasonic has produced the best performance in cooking or defrosting frozen foods and cooking fresh foods of all the microwave ovens we have had.. This latest model appears to take this a step farther with more options in sensor cooking programs..
We recommend the Panasonic NN-SN97JS to our friends and relations.

Enjoying my Panasonic Microwave with Sensor Cooking and its many uses at convenient and nutritional ways to get the best out of food preparation with its Cyclonic Inverter Technology. Easy set up out the box and counter space filler for big family size microwave surprisingly light in weight. The Sensor feature allows you to cook food without setting the timer is a WOW factor with frozen vegetables and salmon turning out perfect. The Reheat Sensor compliments foods for thorough reheating in less time. What a beautiful stainless steel finish to compliment the kitchen. The Panasonic Microwave with Sensor Cooking is everything you can ask for in a microwave for the future.

Admittedly, I am NOT a microwave power user. If I had my way, there wouldn't be a microwave in our house. That said, there are times when it's nice to have one at your disposal. We were moving and our old microwave was staying with the old house so it was time for a new one.
First off, this thing is HUGE. Our President would be ecstatic about how HUGE this is. The best part of that is you can fit a casserole dish in there - either for cooking or to keep warm. It seems we always need different oven temperatures around the holidays, of course you can't risk letting things get cold and not all of us have the luxury of dual ovens (maybe we'll put those in the new house).
The downside of the size is the amount of space required. Be sure to verify the measurements to make sure it fits in your space. In a smaller kitchen, this will take up a lot of precious counter space.
I haven't had a ton of time to mess with the sensor cooking, but it's perfect for those of us who...uh...forget about things in the microwave. To have the machine automatically adjust power level is really the biggest step in microwave technology since they were invented.
Overall fit an finish is great. The buttons and, most importantly, the latch, feel extremely solid. I've used other microwaves where I felt I was going to break the door latch.
I don't want to encourage anyone to elevate their microwave cooking game, but for today's busy households it's a requirement.

Manual is well laid out and easy to read and follow. The Microwave cooks and heats food very well and cyclonic inverter seems to do it's job. Foods are consistently heated thoroughly with less cold spots than I am used to with other microwaves I have had..
This model has a nice array of features for the price as well. Controls are well laid out and pretty easy to operate. Sensor reheat, cook and frozen food functions work well but it does seem to take a little experimentation to find the best settings. I like how you can add a little (20%) more or less time to a given setting before starting. The only downside for those features are that the option values you have to select from equate to different food types and weights which are nearly impossible to remember. That means you need to keep the manual nearby for reference. I like the fact that it uses LED lighting inside but unfortunately the light is pretty dim and could really stand to be quite a bit brighter. The only real disappointment that I had is with the Keep Warm feature. When I saw that in the manual I thought that was an excellent idea but it quickly lost it's appeal after learning that you have to press the power level button 11, yes that is ELEVEN times to get to power level 0 EACH time that you want to use it. Not sure who thought that was a good design.

Panasonic made one heck of a microwave. Just from the outside looks with the stainless steel casing, to its powerful cooking really makes this microwave a showpiece for the kitchen.
It's a big microwave. The 2.2 Cu.Foot of cooking space gives plenty of room for most of your larger dishes with ease. The cyclonic inverter technology is new to me, but seems to work very well and cooks food more thoroughly than my regular microwave and even seems to taste better overall.
It doesn't get used all that often, but a favorite feature I like is the auto warming function for if you get busy and forget to get your food out of the microwave right away after it is done cooking. The popcorn functions work great, and the sensor cooking would probably be another one of my favorite features, and is supposed to detect when the food is cooked so you don't have any overcooking. I don't think it works though if you use a food cover.
As for its size, it is pretty large overall and will take up a good amount of counter space. It is designed as a countertop unit, but you can also put it in oven cabinetry or on shelving like a bakers rack or something.
Overall I love this microwave. It works as intended and looks great. Would highly recommend.

The Best Microwave I Have Ever Used Hands Down!

As my title states this is easily the best microwave I have ever used. The Panasonic - 2.2 Cu. Ft. Microwave has everything I could ask for out of a microwave, and more.
It has cyclonic inverter technology! What does that mean? I have no idea, but I do know that this microwave cooks my food very evenly. no super hot spots while the rest of your food is luke warm. That right there makes it worthy of a purchase to me, but it has a lot more to offer.
First off it's HUGE. You could fit a full size turkey in there. The sensor cooking actually works! I just throw a few slices of pizza in there, and hit the sensor reheat button and it turns out perfect. It even has a keep warm function so that after your food is done cooking it will keep it at temperature by periodically turning on until the dish is ready to be served. I really can't say enough good things about this microwave.
The size of this microwave is definitely a plus, but if you plan to use it on your counter top make sure you have a lot of space. Check the measurements or try to check it out in person if you can.
This Panasonic - 2.2 Cu. Ft. Microwave is a five star product, and I absolutely recommend it to anyone who is in the market for one.

This thing is a whopper!! The large size is perfect for a family of four. All the features are easy to figure out and use. For being so light for such a big unit, I think the quality of the casing parts was a bit of a let down, and the reason I gave it four stars instead of five. The door feels a little flimsy and is loud when closing. Since a microwave generally sits in one place for its usable life, I don't think build quality will be an issue unless the door hinge connection points fail. I have been using for about two months and have not seen any indication those joints will fail. To sum it up, if you are looking for a modern looking, large capacity, and feature rich microwave, this definitely fits the bill.

4.5 Star Review

This is an Honest review of the Panasonic 2.2 Cu.Ft Microwave oven with the new Cyclonic Inverter. The past couple of days, my wife and I have been very pleased with the new Panasonic Microwave oven. We have cooked frozen Pot Pies, Lasagna and have re-heated everything from leftover pizza to soup. Each and every item came out better than any-other Microwave I have ever had to use. That being said, it is a large unit best used in a large kitchen. For this reason and this reason only, I give it 4.5 stars.
The Pot pie crust was crunchy and brown, the inner pot pie was well cooked and had no cool or cold spots within the meal. My wife absolutely loved it. She said it tasted like it was oven cooked.
The Lasagna was another well-cooked meal with the edges browned like it was in an oven rather than a Microwave oven. It very impressive how well this cooks a meal.
The re-heat is awesome. There is a setting button with “Sensor Cooking (Reheat)” that when used senses the level of steam from the food to determine if it's done. Very nice function in a cooking device.
I will recommend this to my friends and family that have the room to put this in their kitchen.

It’s about time

Finally microwave oven technology grows up.
If you want to dim your lights (“mood lighting”), you wouldn’t flip your lights on and off. Likewise, why do most microwave ovens simulate low power by doing the same?
At long last, here is a microwave that actually varies the power output by - here comes the surprise - varying the power output!
The “keep warm” feature is nice when you have better things to do than jump when an appliance calls you.
Three things that I’ve always wanted in a microwave oven:
1. A way to turn off the horrible beeping that wakes everyone else. This unit allows that, but unfortunately, only when first setting it up. To change this setting requires unplugging it and plugging it back in.
2. The ability to turn down the brightness of the display. The display on this oven is a bright cool white, so it’s super-readable, but is so bright that I thought about lower wattage light bulbs in the kitchen. Too bad this is not something that can be changed, except by putting tape over it.
3. Less noise. I’ve never understood the kitchen appliance industry’s disinterest in making things QUIETER. This oven generates about half the noise of the one it replaced, and is about 30% more powerful.
Overall, this is an excellent appliance, and a welcome change to the typical low-tech unit it replaced.

My favorite feature is how quiet it runs. It is large but not overly large for my counter space.
This thing is amazing, it is my first 2.2 and was not expecting it to have so much room.
Very easy to use and set up as well.
Every thing I've used it for so far has come out perfect although it took a few tries to get my baked potatoes to come out the way I like. I put some additional water in them for the steam.
I highly recommend this product.

This is a large microwave, great size for full size plates. It is very light weight. I thought it would be very heavy, due to the size, but it is not. IT works great and heats food evenly. The only drawback is that it moves around on my counter when I press panel to use. It needs something on the bottom to help it stay in place. Otherwise, it is a great device.

Pros: high power, one touch settings, fast & even reheating/defrosting
Cons: dim interior LED light
This is a great option for a high capacity, high powered microwave with inverter technology. Without getting too much into the science of how inverter technology works, what it boils down to is quicker and more even reheating and defrosting without burning fringes of the food and super heating the dish the food is placed in.
I love using the Sensor Cook (reheat) function for dishes that typically reheat unevenly such as soups or stews or larger quantities. It seems to run a bit longer as it doesn’t have a countdown timer for the entire cook time, the countdown timer turns on toward the end of the reheat mode when there’s seconds left. Even with that caveat, taking away the guess work for how long to reheat is big plus in my book.
If I were to nitpick, my only complaint is would be the really dim interior LED light. Granted, there’s no reason to watch the food reheat, but having a brighter interior light comes in handy when cleaning inside.

Microwave is the highest wattage we've used, resulting in extremely fast cooking.
This model utilizes 3d waves that help cook more evenly - no more spots in your meal that are many degrees cooler than the rest.
After using this microwave I think perhaps I won't be using any other than Panasonic in the future - it may cost a little more than others but it's worth it!

I haven’t had a chance to try every feature but the ones I have worked really well. The size is a bit bulky, if I had small counters it would be an issue. Overall it was pretty much like my last microwave, noting really stands out but works well consistently.
