Starting a couple of months ago, it would intermittently fail to start. The door seems a bit flimsy so we are suspecting that it is an issue involving door closure. I am very disappointed. We've always had microwaves last at least 5 or 6 years.

It burns my popcorn even on the correct size setting, but it takes longer to reheat a plate of food. No flashy features but maybe I need to play with it more...

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We first bought one of these for one of our homes and it worked great for 1 year or so, but then the problem starts with turning the microwave on after you close the door and punch in the numbers. Start button just won't work. Looks like this model came with a latch problem, so the door does not shut properly and with that the microwave won't start. This way you have to keep opening and closing the door a few times until it clicks and it starts. Just before we had this issue we bought a second unit for our second home and guess what? The same thing started to happen with the other unit a few weeks ago. I would not by this unit again.

I bought a second one because we had a counter built for it's dimensions and after 2 months, you're right - same problem. I filled out a warranty repair request with panasonic and service quality is even worse than a microwave itself. I have to deliver the microwave myself to THEM!!!. Since I have limitations I tried to contact Panasonic customer support but the only option for my product was Live Chat. It's been 2 hours and counting and no one answers the chat. STAY AWAY form all PANASONIC products!!!

Would never buy any Panasonic products ever again such a rip-off
