Operation differences cause minor issues, learning

We got this in black because all of our other appliances are black. The size was the biggest appeal for me. But the power for this thing is top notch. And specialty settings like defrost for frozen meat actually works. I defrosted 1.5 lbs of ground beef the other night without it cooking the edges. For the quality, it could have a higher price tag, but the fact that it's reasonably price is just icing on the cake. Higher price does not always mean higher quality.

Very disappointed in this microwave. Very hard to shut the door, you literally have to slam it to shut it. The window has a metal screen of some sort that prevents you from clearly seeing into the microwave to see if your food is exploding. The timer also SUCKS. It is not very loud and you cannot use the microwave if you are using the timer (really stupid). It also only beeps a couple times and quits so if you are in another room and it goes off, you will never know it. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this purchase!!

I read other reviews citing door alignment problems and I started experiencing similar problems after 1 and 1/2 years of ownership. The microwave still works but now the door requires a "slamming" shut or only the timer activates (indicating a microswitch is not being activated by the door latch). Apparently this problem is more apparent on the larger Panasonic microwaves, probably due to higher door weight.

bought this microwave and really liked it, had to replace it this month, did not realize that we had bought the exact same model, sure hope the new one lasts longer

Originally purchased this item about 6 months ago, and the product quit working. This new item was a replacement.

I purchased this model because of my former Panasonic microwave oven which I had for approx. 12 years. This current model was a lemon. Maybe another one may have worked, but I was not going to take a chance and have to return it. I would fix bacon and the end pieces would be done or over cooked and the middle piece would be half done. Same thing happen when I heated up food, half would be hot and other half would be cold. This should not be happening with a new oven.

Burned up power cord. This is JUNK!!!! Buyer beware!!

This microwave was too deep for my shelf. The dimensions are changed by Panasonic each time I need a new Microwave. Unfortunately, it had to be returned. It was also annoying that the Best Buy from which I had picked up this item did not want to let us return it the same day after we had packed it up and dragged it back. With a big to do a manager finally helped us out, but I would hesitate ordering on-line again

Panasonic - Microwave Oven lifespan is 6 years, so Every 6 years you need buy a new one.
