This Panisonic DVD is replacing an old Panisonic Blu-Ray player. It is now compatible with my newer 4K HD TV and Home Theater system which supports Dolby Atmos. It seems to upscale just fine for older DVDs. It is a smaller footprint than the old and it loads Blu-ray DVDs much faster. I am very happy with this purchase.

Plays all major disc formats - DVD, Bluray, 4k bluray and 3D bluray, You of course need a 3D or 4k TV for those benefits. Upconverts DVD and Bluray discs to improve picture sharpness. The remote control is tiny and easy to lose.

The setup was easy for both the physical and electronic connection to the TV. I'm not very "techy" so appreciated how quickly everything went. The screen interface is easy to understand and use. The drawer for the disk seems a bit flimsy but it works fine. As other reviewers mentioned, the buttons on the remote are indeed small. I'm still getting used to it. I'm mostly interested in using this for my collection of CDs but have watched one DVD and the quality was good. (I use a soundbar for quality sound.) The overall unit is pretty compact, which I like as I have limited space in my condo.

This Panasonic 4K ultra HD Blu-ray player is a nice little machine and the only reason I’m giving it four stars is because the menu is a little hard to navigate. You get a decent sized remote control with lots of features on it that are readily used and it is easy to set up, but you have to go through the remote control to figure out how to use apps on the player due to them, not being on the main menu.

Honestly, I don't watch as many DVD Blu-ray as I used to but when I do, I am impressed with the enhanced video quality on my 4K TV using this unit. Only drawback is the slow loading speed and poor display and location of controls making it a bit difficult to see in a low-lit room.

Needed a replacement for an old DVD player. The Panasonic offered new features and easy setup not to mention an enhanced picture quality. A bargain at this price.

Easy to set up, connected easily, compact and versatile

This does everything you want it to. We will own plenty of DVD's and even if we wanted to pop in a CD it handles that do. It still seems a little pricey, but you can't go wrong with this purchase if you have a lot of different entertainment needs.

I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on a blu ray player for our basement. This one is a great price for the value! We use it in our basement on our 100” TV we also purchased from Best Buy!

Good player. It doesn’t WiFi or stream which has turned out to be a non-issue issue. Through the ARC function of my amplifier and new Samsung tv capabilities I can get full use my stereo surround system and enjoy the 4k UHD quality of the player to it’s fullest! As I had hoped when I bought it, it plays my blu-rays and DVDs just fine!

Player is excellent. Video and audio quality are too notch. The remote is not intuitive or user friendly whatsoever. Happy wirh purchase. If I used the remote more then a couple of times a month, it would be more frustrating.

I'm sorry that I have to give this review. Half the time I have to keep a second player hooked up and ready to take over. The player stops in the middle of movies. Freeze's up and I have to do a reset on the power switch. The player shows black screen and the red light stays on and none of the controls work. On/off sticks to on. Some 4k disk it says it can't read them. Thank God I have blueray disk as a backup. Good note when it is playing it has beautiful vibrant colors. If I set my sleep timer most of the time it shuts off too. My last DVD player didn't do that. Anyway there it is. Have a great day. I guess I need to find a best buy store to take it in since I bought it in June.

I love the small form factor and easy to use interface. I have a couple 4K UHD disks but could not play them until now. When playing them with this player, I really think the clarity is way better than streaming the movies. And being able to use the interface built into this device is way better than streaming services provide. It makes me sad that we have to accept lower quality video because the movie industry has stopped producing and selling disks. Now that I see the difference, I'll be searching around for 4K UHD disks to purchase before they are all shipped to history museums.

I love my new Panasonic multi player! It was a quick and easy install, great picture output. I haven't tried all the features, but the ones i intended use for, are exactly what i was looking for.

This device functions well but did not support WiFi or other online streaming apps. So I could not use it to replace my old device. If you need a basic DVD player then this unit is ideal.

Perfect in every way that matters. Outstanding picture quality on all of my disc from first generation dvds , blu rays, and 4k discs. Sound quality is so outstanding. I do t need streaming apps on a disc player as I use a smart tv . Wireless also not an issue.perfect player for my needs and I’d imagine most people’s needs . I’m going to be buying 2 more of these. At this price you definitely can not go wrong.
