It is a very good television with Netflix for Kids.

Had to call Geek Squad to repair after two days. I took TV out of box around the 26th of Sept. Bought it Sept. 3rd. Had to wait for my daughter to move out. Two days after I set it up had a black spot on screen. Geek squad said sine it had been purchased more than 14 days, they would have to fix it. Getting new screen. No TV in my living area till next Saturday. Guess I just got a defected one. Best Buy was very nice as far as the sale goes.

Wish it was a little higher to place my cable box under it.

Had the t.v. for 4 weeks and it started to shut off on it's own after being on for a couple hours. Best Buy only lets you return items up to 15 days so had to go through Panasonic under the warranty. Repair man "believes" it's the mother board but parts will be two weeks so two weeks without our brand new t.v. Is anything made to last these days???

Great TV, got it on sale for $599 and it is well worth the price. I actually didn't explicitly aim to get a smart TV, but the TV had all the other features I desired, including a recognizable brand that is actually made by the brand itself. Picture quality is great, and exactly what you'd expect from a mid-range 120Hz refresh rate panel. Color saturation is a bit high/overdone, but it's nothing you won't notice without professional calibration equipment. Sound is okay, but about what you'd expect from any flat panel (they can't put sound systems into these things, people, and also make them super thin! You need to compromise somewhere!). Inputs fall a little short -- only two HDMI in (I have a Chromecast, PS3 and PS4), but if you're running a full home theater setup with a receiver that accepts HDMI input this is actually a good thing because you're less likely to select the incorrect HDMI input :P Controller is nice and easy to use. Has a Netflix shortcut button which is a good feature, but that's if the Netflix app decides to work. It seems to work the first time every time I reset the TV/redo the OOBE, but then it fails to load after that. I still have yet to resolve why, but not a big deal since most people have a million other things that stream Netflix (maybe even their toaster nowadays). Pandora app is great, and the DLNA functionality just plain rules (it's nice to be able to stream things directly from a network-connected WD My Cloud drive). Wi-Fi works as expected, but run wired Ethernet if you can. Some of the smart features are amazing, some are a bit silly (I don't need a calendar application on my smart TV, honestly). Occasionally, there's a banner ad when you change the volume or turn the TV on. To turn these off, go to Main Menu --> Setup --> Display Customization --> VIERA Smart Banner and set it to "off". Voila, no more ads for Tyson Chicken when you turn your TV on (or just never connect it to the web). TV looks nice too. All in all, a great buy with a few minor caveats. Worth it for the picture alone.

I purchased this Panasonic 50 " Smart HD Flat Screen A week after the Black Friday Sale where it had been a few dollars less . I can only say good things about this Flat Screen . The sale price of $499 was for that day only and I got lucky my store had only one in stock . We have used this TV for over 6 months with no issue's what so ever .. Great picture quality , great colors and I was amazed at the clarity while watching an HD program .. Even when look at it from a side angle there is very little of a blur... This is the Best TV and wished they had more at that time so I could buy a second one for a family member .. I read all the reviews and will disagree with others who complain of sound quality .. Mine is on the stand and about 4 inch's from the wall so the sounds bounce off the back wall . These are only little 4 inch speakers in the back of the tv and it's more than I expected .. I can even hear the sound separation in action movies with flying jets and explosions and don't really see the need for a sound bar unless I wanted to listen to a loud tv....Although I am considering it for the overall experience .. It was a toss up with the Panasonic and a similar Samsung and since all were equal the Best Buy pricing won out by about a $100 less because of the one day sale .. Where can you buy a name brand 50 inch flat screen Smart TV for less than $500 and really get a great bang for your Buck . Best Buy That's Where I shop .. I have honestly tried to purchase at other stores and always end up back at Best Buy. Where I am always treated with respect from the knowledgeable and courteous employee's who answer my questions or find someone who will .. I would buy this Panasonic over again and will consider their products in the future.. Thank you Panasonic and Best Buy ..
