Picture quality absolutely stunning. I have 5 windows in my living room and a west facing sliding glass door. Even with all of the natural light I choose the quality that the plasma picture can give over an LED every time. I am extremely happy with my purchase if I had it to do all over again I would do choose this TV. What I love about this TV most is that it doesn't matter if I am casually watching TV, watching a movie or playing games online, I don't have to comprise picture quality.

This is my first plasma, first Panasonic, and very well pleased so far, especially for a 50" hdtv at $599. Set up was very easy, both out of the box and setupmenu. Brightness settings can be changed in setup menu according to room brightness. Kids are using for gaming right now, super crisp picture. Looking forward to football next. This was a great addition to the bonus room, kids love it, I do too!! Thanks BestBuy!

This is a replacement for an older LCD Sharp. The picture is clear and bright. The TV works together with the Panasonic Blue-Ray player so if the TV is on the cable input and you turn on the Blue Ray player it switches over to that input automatically. They work VERY well together. Just to be clear though While the TV does not connect to the INTERNET the Blue Ray player does and since they work so well together it is VERY easy to Get Netflix and other streaming services. It is also easy to show and play files from your local network.

I purchased it and used what I thought was the best price, however, after I bought it found 2 web sites located in Chicago had it 20.00 cheaper. Picture is fantastic and hooked up to my Stereo receiver to it and the sound is better than coming out of the speakers on the TV. What i discovered after the install was the installer drilled over 20 holes in the paneling to find the stud. I consider the paneling ruined. Also, I purchased the wall mount for a specific place, the installer talked my wife into mounting it in a different location. I don't like it in the place it is installed however, wife is. I think if I had put it in the location they installed it, I could of gotten by with a cheaper wall mount. Not happy with installation, Happy with the TV.

This plasma TV is only OK straight out of the box. The price is good for a nice plasma this size, but the picture quality needed a LOT of tweaking to get right. I used the Disney W.O.W. bluray calibration disk to calibrate the set, and had to use the advanced version of the tools. After adjusting, I was much happier with the picture quality. This set does NOT have enough HDMI ports. If you won't be using an hdmi-switching receiver (or can't--my receiver doesn't support HDMI 1.4, which causes problems with PS3 on newer TV sets), then you'll find yourself running short on connections very quickly.

I've tried a few TV's, and finally landed on this one. LCD's and LED's that are under $1000 can't touch the picture quality, especially if you watch sports. The motion is natural and clear. The contrast and color depth are fantastic. LED/LCD TV's can't display blacks the way this (or most plasmas) can. The only downside to this TV is the audio - I say that knowing that most TV's have terrible audio now days. If you have a stereo of some kind, you'll be fine.

It's a great plasma tv with great picture. It took a little calibration but I got to perform excellent. I would've like if it was Internet ready but for the price it's a great monitor.

overall this is an awesome tv. the fact that it was only $700 is crazy because it seems like it should cost well over $1,000. The picture is unbelievable, as is the color quality. sound is just average but not a big deal unless you have it in a huge room. i have a good sized living room where the tv is and it is perfectly fine without any extra speakers or sound system. movies and sports, especially football, look amazing.

Hooked this tv up right out of the box looked exellent, started fine tuning it was even more impressed with the picture, Sound is ok will ad a sound bar soon but the picture was more important, would recommend this tv.

At first I really wanted to get a Samsung or LG, because of all the reviews. After talking to a best buy employee, they told me that Panasonic's have better Plasma TV's. He was not wrong, because I love this TV. I love the blacks on this tv and the whites are very nice too!

This TV has excellent picture quality. If you don't need the Internet features then this is a great tv! I use a PS3 for the Internet services such as Netflix, etc. I was looking for a tv with excellent picture quality for a great value and this tv definitely has delivered. I highly recommend this TV.

Absolutely love this Panansonic Plasma HDTV. The picture quality is excellent for this price range. We use it as a second HDTV in the basement playroom. Video quality for XBOX games is fantastic. High resolution rate, and plasma technology are second to none for watching fast action sports! This is my second Panasonic Plasma and I am extremely please with the quality and performance of both TV's. Highly recommend Panasonic products to all!

Picture quality on this TV is fantastic. I don't use the native speakers because I have it hooked up to a home theater system, so I can't comment on the sound. My only grudge is that it has a USB port to read a USB device, but the port does not supply power, so you cannot hook up an external hard drive to watch video or view pics. This kind of makes the USB port useless, seeing as how any extended video would be on a device that also depends on power from the USB port. Other than that, for the quality of this TV, the price can't be beat.

I was a bit hesitant to purchase this tv, since the panasonic brand has never been my first choice for electronics. However, i have seen that not only did i get an excellent price for this 50 inch tv, but i received an even better image quality than i had anticipated. Awesome HD capabilities and almost surround sound type sound quality. I highly recommend this tv for anyone who is looking for a bargain....you will highly enjoy it

I see some reviews complain that this tv doesn't connect to the internet. You can make this a "smart" tv for much less than the advertised "smart" tv prices by simply buying a "smart" blue ray player and running the internet through that to this tv. I watch my Amazon Prime movies on this tv through a "smart" blue ray player, the two together cost less than $700.00 This is a very good tv for the price.

This TV is a replacement for a 50" Panasonic 720p display that was damaged by a lightning strike. The picture settings out of the box were out of whack, but after some tweaking, it looks fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone with a dedicated home theater set-up.

Great picture, have owned a month and still would buy again. Not that the speakers aren't good, but they could have more bass to keep from having to get a surround sound system, maybee a built in 8" sub woofer? Not like panasonic couldn't supply one of those.

I love my Panasonic HD TV. The price was great. The picture is amazing, color bright vivid. I have it in a room that has 9 windows, and it is just as good to watch in the day as the night, with a little tweeking. The HD channels are fantastic, I can't say enough good things about it. I've already told a lot of people about it and hope they purchase it, you won't be sorry.

This is hands down the best looking picture I've ever seen on a TV I've owned. And for $700 for a 50-inch set it's just ridiculous. I have a traditional Sony Bravia LCD, a Panasonic LED LCD, a Mitsubishi DLP front projector, and none of them even compare to this set. I'm very happy with this TV.
