Great TV for the price

I sales person showed me different brands along with the different features. He did not pressure me to buy this brand but overall in comparing with all the other types of tv's and sizes I was looking for this was the best overall. I have had this tv for a month and could not be happier.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv is great it has High end input connection not allowing older game system to hook up with out an adapter in my case I had to find an adapter that connect to the red blue and green video connections pluse my audio. Please remember to get HDMI Cable as none are included.

Not impresses with Media Play feature
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this at a local Best Buy on sale for $699 - not a bad price for a 50" Plasma 1080p. My biggest plus was the Media Play feature, so when I got home I plugged in a USB stick with 3 different common video formats. The only file it saw was the MKV file, but did not play it. Was very depressed about this problem. Researching online, I discovered only 4 formats that it would read, but no in depth info about those formats. Along with this, I could not get a consistent picture quality. Sometimes peoples skin tones would be good, then others would be either washed out or they had a bad sun-tan! Maybe something wrong on this set - tried all the settings available. Anyway, returned for a 50" Insignia LCD ($200 less) and a WDTV Live box - which plays many different video formats without a problem. Great picture & pretty much made it a smart TV for $90 extra!!

It says it is capable of 1080p but I haven't been able to get it.. More work needed but fully confident in the TV and it's capabilities. I love all of the services Best Buy offers and have the replacement protection program and am considering Geek Squad calibration for my TV.
