This is an excellent TV with sharp colors and crisp sound. My only complaint is that it only has two hdmi ports. Otherwise one of the best TVs you can get for the price. Highly reccomended!

You will not find a better 50" TV for this price point. 50" Plasma for $599.00 can't be beat. This is my fourth Panasonic plasma I have purchased over the years and I have never had an issue with any of them. Can't go wrong with this set.

I love this TV. It is easy to use and has awesome picture quality. I have it in my basement where there is now light and it is perfect. It has just enough features to make it easy to use and easy to understand. Very user friendly.

We searched quite awhile when it came time to replace our 5 year old plasma, reading many reviews, etc. We didn't need anything feature heavy because our blu-ray player is internet ready and fully featured. We did not however, want something that would not have the picture quality we were looking for. For us this was a perfect buy! The setup was a snap. The remote supplied didn't play nice with our other components but a $19.99 universal remote took care of everything! One remote controls satellite, audio, TV, blu-ray, etc. We've had out new TV about a month now and not one single problem.

We purchased this 50" to replace our 42" plasma 1080p Panasonic. Liked most everything about it. Unfortunately, we only had it for about a month when our 4 year old inadvertently broke the screen. Bummer day :( Customer service was appropriate but its a total loss... There's nothing they could do, repairs cost more than the TV itself. So if you're considering this TV go for it--Hubby did his research and we believe its the best in its class. BUT if you have an active 4 year old running around, you might want to consider insurance. Hopefully we will be able to replace it sooner vs later... In the meantime, it's good for nothing other than target practice :( Unfortunately they don't even recycle the good parts.

Very solid picture and overall video quality. The price is also right for the size and quality. The features are very weak. No wireless capability combined with only 2 HDMI inputs is problematic.

Great TV! the picture is incredible! but not enough ports - can't hook up the stereo And cable And Wii U - only 2, so the sound quality is just OK

An excellent TV for the price. Picture quality is excellent and the controls are easy to use. The manual is somewhat helpful but most of what I needed to learn about this TV came from the internet

Had the 42" model, wanted to upgrade to the 50" 1080i version and it was a great move. The picture is outstanding and I can't believe how lightweight it is. Can't go wrong with this TV.

Bought this for my Mother-In-Law for Christmas. Of course I had to set it up and get it working. Very easy set up following on screen menu. Very user friendly remote. Great picture and good sound. Another good value from Best Buy...

Overall an excellent product. I prefer the look of plasma to LCD and LED so the choice was a no-brainer. Bluray is stunning as well as any Netflix movie streamed in HD. The same for Youtube. This is not a smart tv and I am glad I saved money by buying a smart bluray player instead. I don't have cable or satellite so I can't speak to how well it processes those. On standard definition sources like DVD etc the picture is so-so. I just simply wait till my eyes get adjusted and move on. Otherwise it would drive me crazy. I like this product a lot and when the time comes I am going with another Panasonic plasma (if they're still being made).

This was the first HD TV that I have ever bought, all the previous ones I have owned were those old tube televisions. I have been using it for gaming and watching Blu-Ray movies as well. The picture quality is amazing and, for the price, I couldn't ask for anything else. There are two HDMI ports on the TV, so I have both my XBox 360 and my Blu-Ray player hooked up to it.

I love this TV, it looks amazing and I am very picky. My hobby on the road was fixing the pictures of the TV's of the motel rooms I stayed in. A bit of a nerd that way. I run it through the stereo and it needs that if you want any low end whatsoever. Fine without the stereo for quiet time. It does have pretty good highs on the frequency spectrum. I actually use it while the stereo is being used to bolster the highs of the stereo. It did take some fine adjustment to find a happy medium for all programs and inputs on the video but I haven't had to mess with that for weeks now. Grade AAA. I dare you to find a better picture for the price.

WOW! This television was a terrific value at $599. Super picture and colors. Sound is fine but I'm sure a sound bar or surround sound system would raise it up to an unbelievable level. We are totally happy with this purchase. Best Buy delivered the product in three days and easily set it up. I found it real simple to adjust colors, etc. I set up my DVD player with no problem. Have not had time to attempt to hook up my ancient VCR player, but I will. And then I will probably move up the technology scale with other accessories. Can buy splitters and cords on line for various applications. Love this Panasonic 50 inch Plasma!!!

This was my first big screen purchase. The salesman at Best Buy helped me decide that this was the right TV for my needs and so far he has been right. For the same cost as a 42" LED I was able to get a 50" plasma. He showed me how the vivid settings we see in the stores are used to sell TVs, but the colors were unrealistic n the LED TVs I compared, This plasma was more true to life. He also explained that plasma burn-in is a thing of the past and these screens have built-in protective measures that prevent it now. All in all, I am very happy so far with his TV and got more bang for my buck.

I thought plasma technology was outdated. I was completely wrong! Little did I know the technology is less expensive to produce, thus the reasonable price. If you have a dark (or not sunny) room, this TV will deliver an outstanding picture- much deeper colors and great motion. It has more than adequate connections and ports. Sports and movies really pop. I'm thrilled with my purchase.

This is the second 50 inch Panasonic HDTV we've purchased in a year. Last year it was for my husband for Christmas. He loved it, and everyone who's seen it in action has been amazed with the quality of the picture. We love sports, and the action is much better than anything we've seen before. We became the NFL play off and Super Bowl party house for the family. This year for Christmas we gave one to my brother. He was having some issues with his eyes, and we thought it would cheer him up. He was so happy, and his whole family just loves it.

I love our new TV. It is exactly what we needed. The picture quality is great and the price is right. Just wish there were 3 HDMI inputs.

We purchased this TV because we wanted a good quality plasma for out basement without the extra cost for the smart options. We purchased an open box item at a little better price than the sale price and have been very happy with our purchase. It it a huge improvement over the 42" rear projection unit that "died" on us. (The only reason I rated it 4 on sound quality is because we don't really use the sound from the television because we have a home theater system and I wouldn't rate the sound from any TV as good as that..)

I bought this model for my grandmother to watch tv shows, and college basketball and she absolutely loves it. Great clear picture, easy to use for her, and the audio is awesome.
