The picture quality is excellent, and with HD it fills the whole screen. The sound quality is excellent if you have a small to medium size room. If you have a large room you may want to purchase a sound bar.

This is my second Panasonic plasma. The first one is in tv room. This one is in living room. I dont think you can do better than plasma at this price point. Have had no trouble with first one and it is at least a year old. Thats why I got another Panasonic.

Panasonic Plasmas are second to none. I saw some complaints about lack of HDMI connections and no internet apps, but I front-end all my TVs with Xboxes, so I only need one HDMI or component connector. The Xbox handles the internet apps to just about everything and connects to my media center PC. The video on this TV is stunning. Watching sports is a joy rather than an LCD blur headache waiting to happen. There is no analog audio out, but the Xbox has the ablity to add one, so this really wasn't an issue for me. The sound will not "blow you away", but is quite adequate for normal viewing without the sound system turned on. Panasonic Plasmas are world class performers. I am super happy with this purchase.

For the price that I paid for this TV it is WELL worth it! So far the picture looks really good. I appreciate a company offering a TV that doesn't have all the bells and whistles for a affordable price.

This is connected to my HTPC, so I was fine with a dumb TV. I was going for an LED, but got this at a good price, and in my living room without direct light, it does really well, with a superb picture.

Best basic plasma tv for the price. Quick delivery and set up from best buy home delivery. Awsome picture. Sound quality isnt the best but has improved compared to an older panasonic plasma tv. Buy one.

If you want a good big TV with great picture and do not want to break your wallet buy this one. I have had the exact TV (but its LCD) for a few years now, and both it and the new plasma work great.

Great TV worth twice the price, beats the hell out of any LED with a 120hz refresh rate. I took back an LED and went with this TV, just awesome.

I bought this plasma after owning a few LED's. Whether you are watching sports, fast objects or standing right next to the TV, there is zero pixeling. LED's do not offer a picture this clear.

Great price in a 50' plasma. Great picture, decent features. No internet, but no big deal these days with the internet TV boxes available. Sound is not good, but a sound bar helps tons.

We are happy with the picture and the way the delivery men set-it up. We will buy a sound system to add as the sound could be better.

Purchased TV over the holidays. Easy to set up and connect. Picture quality excellent for price paid. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but it serves the purpose for which is was purchased. Definitely recommend this product.

We were looking for a decent size television for the hockey games that are back on and we found it. The picture and sound quality are amazing! We really enjoy the TV.

Great TV for only $700. Beautiful clear picture and lots of fun extra features. It was simple to mount on the wall.

I traded up from a Samsung 40" LED Smart TV that had bad clouding on the screen. Hearing that Panasonic's are the Plasma TV on the current market I decided with the Panasonic TC-P50U50. With in the first few days I noticed a bad problem and after doing research I found it to be called Line Bleeding which in short description its lines that run across on left and right sides of Text mostly on Menu Screens. It was Bad enough that I had my first TV replaced with the same model. The 2nd TV had the SAME PROBLEM even worse, also you had to sit across the room to get a good picture for if you where even a little bit close the picture became distorted. These 2 problems had me once again return the TV for a different Model.

from the start is was easy to set up. also bought wall hanger to install. I also use blu-ray player with this TV. Blends in perfect with 7.1 sound system.

I'm satisfied with my choice for a darker room to watch football on. Good motion and acceptable color. Sound is ok but I will purchase a sound bar.

This television has great picture quality but it lacks in sound quality. I don't mind the sound because I have my surround sound hooked up for movies and basic viewing. Otherwise great television!

Easy to set up and connect to other devices. I already had a "42 model and bought this larger size due to that experience. Good value for the price.
