Customers are saying

Customers love the KX-TGD222N DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone System's ease of use, excellent sound quality, and convenient caller ID features. Many appreciate the long battery life, good range, and the inclusion of call blocking. Positive feedback also highlights the clear display and well-functioning answering machine. While some users noted occasional static and preferred a louder ringer volume, the overall reception to the phone's features has been overwhelmingly positive.

The features on this phone is great, but the voice quality is poor. I returned the phone and purchased another thinking this would help, but it didn't.

Poor Sound Quality and Lack of Feature Options

I was very disappointed in my Panasonic KX-TGD222 and ended up returning it, after only a few days of trial use. I couldn't take the limited sound capability and lack of ability to hear the phone ring, it's one or two whole rings, any longer. I was also irritated with the poor choices on ringtone choices, sound volume control feature choices in hearing the caller and the ring, and also the other non-available features that I am used to seeing on phones of this "quality" of brand name have in its settings. The phone seems out-dated for such a device bought in this year and time; and especially for the price that I paid for it. So it went back and I am going to shop for another at Best Buy.com and try to choose more carefully this time; perhaps to read more carefully on the features and research more in-depth on the real dirt behind the phone I choose to order... before I order. A purchase for me lasts a long time and I mean for it to stick; so I am very picky. I don't rest until I am completely satisfied because my money is very tight and I work very hard for it. I want to hear my phone ring, also! That can't be asking for too much.

I used it for 2 weeks and there is noise when you are talking. Backlite on keys is not bright enough.

I brought this in best buy and it's terrible when it comes to ear piece volume. Even at the highest volume level its very faint / feeble sounding, we both kept on increasing volume up but it was never enough. Its poor than my S7 ear speaker volume level, don't buy it.
