I replaced a portable phone and thought this would be a good choice. It is, although the screen is not as bright as I am used to. Purchased it anyway even though some of the reviews I read did mention this fact. But it's ok, and serves the purpose.

Good solid phone. Big letters show on well lit background. Big buttons that make it easy for older people. Easy to program. Ring volume is loud enough for people a little hard of hearing.

The Panasonic KX-TGD222N is a good general use cordless phone for around the home, garage, and outdoor use. Phone has good speaker phone capability and caller ID announcement feature is very useful. The handsets use standard AAA rechargeable batteries, a GREAT feature. When batteries wear out just buy more, no need to search for special battery packaging.

Everything arrived as I expected. The batteries were able to be charged and operational. No problems. I used this as another extension phone but wanted another base type charging unit, per my preference. *Only one base can be connected to one group at a time, so phone line can connect to only one base per pairing group. The base charger allowed me to use the wall mount method that I desired. Most probably would prefer just an extra phone with desktop charger but basically the same price so I got the one that allows for wall mounting. You will need to also purchase the wall hanger which comes seperately. I already had one so did not order. It works.

Like it very much. Better than the last phone, easier to program.

Easy to use menu. The backlit buttons are great. Caller Block is a life saver. Never buy a phone without this option. Excellent range (so far over 100ft). Would recommend to anyone.

Great price and great manufacturer. East to mount on wall if needed.
