It was not until I tried using it that I found out that the answering machine only works with a landline installed. I use an old bluetooth cell phone for a home phone and had to jury-rig the setup to get answering machine capability, but then lost caller id announcement! the phone is great other than that.

Standard cordless phone

I probably would've been just as happy with a cheaper one. The quality of sound is average / fair, not anything impressive. The battery does last a long time. I haven't tried linking it to my cell so I can't comment on that feature.

Sleek, versatile system

Like the sleek design and ease of set up. Has many updated features and the option to add on an additional handset. My only complaint is that the "block button" is situated where your hand naturally touches the phone when speaking. I have lost several calls this way!
