I do not recommend this phone

I had to do Youtube tutorials to help me do the set up. The set up is also too long. The sound volume fades and not strong enough. I have had a Panasonic cordless phone previously and that phone was SO much better!!!

Previous model handhelds would light up when placed upon the base. Easy hookup; however the cord from the answering base does not always stay in place.

Unwanted voice feature and confusing user manual

Good when I bought it, but didn't last.

When I set the time/day it changes the time by itself after a short time and I have to guess when somebody has called me. I also bought a Geek Squad return warranty but I don't know how to use it to replace the unit for a good one.

Posted .Hello! What you are currently experiencing with your telephone is not a malfunction or an issue. The time on your phone is set to Caller ID automatic, which means that it will follow the setting on the Caller ID service you have with your phone company. We can change that from the settings of your phone. On a handset, press MENU then the # key and then the number 226. Go to MANUAL and press SAVE. After that, you will need to change the time again on any of the handsets and it will not change back. -M

This phone is complete garbage

There is absolutely nothing in the instructions saying it is a Dect 6.0 and nothing on Panasonic's website saying this model is a Dect 6.0. Dect 6.0 cordless phones are just much better because they operate on a different frequency and get much less interference. Also, the call block is a complete joke. I set the call block to block unknown/anonymous callers who don't have their number displayed on the caller ID. Yet, these calls go through just fine and ring your phone. Say you blocked a person's number, but all they have to do is block their number (*67) and it will ring your phone. I am returning this phone because of these issues and also because it had so much static. I am so disappointed as I mistakenly thought Panasonic actually made good products.

This is a DECT telephone system, please check the specifications: https://help.na.panasonic.com/answers/features-and-specifications-telephone-cordless-model-kx-tgd830-kx-tgd832-kx-tgd833 . The call block feature has three options: manually block a single number, manually block a range of numbers or block unknown CID (which will block calls that have no phone number, such as private numbers or out of area). To do so, please go to CALL BLOCK > Block unknown CID > SELECT > go to ON > press SAVE. -M

This one does the same thing. Maybe you need to be far away frm the computer and other appliances but it's just a pinch better than the other brand I returned. Disappointed.

If you are hearing static on your phone, reception breaks in and out or experiencing humming noise on the background while using your cordless phone, it might be caused by a transmission or electric interference, noise can also come from the phone lines, it would be best to locate the source of the interference first and a simple method of determining this would be to verify if static is heard on your other set of phones aside from the Panasonic. Relocate or plug the Panasonic phone to a different area where there is less interference. If you are subscribing to DSL/ADSL service, it is recommended to use a DSL filter. Most DSL/ADSL service providers would have the filters available for their subscribers, you may also check out your local electronic stores for availability. -M
