Posted .We are sorry to hear about the concerns you are having with the telephone. Sounds like the battery in the handset is not working properly. We suggest that you reach out to the Panasonic Encompass Parts department to inquiry about new battery that is recommended for the telephone.
No Voice mail promp set up

We recommend saving the voicemail access code on the phone by following these steps: please press MENU then the pound key [#] and type 331. You can then type the access code from your provider and hit SAVE. We hope once set up, your system serves you well! - F

This phone has a few other features which I am still learning to use. I like the alot. The numbers digital answering system. It is easy to see when there pare messaes and how many there are. The numbers are a little larger which I like and they are easu to use. I also like the fact that when you pick the phone up out of the charger it lights up so you can see the keys if you are in a darken place.
