stopped keeping time after two months

On a handset, press MENU # 226 > go to MANUAL > press SAVE. Yours is currently set to Caller ID Auto, which means that it will display the time set by your phone company on your Caller ID service. -M

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought as replacement landline phone for my 91 year old father who isn’t ready to transition to cellular. The primary reason for choosing this phone was the stated call blocking feature. So far, this has reduced 15-20 nuisance sales calls and computer generated calls per day to ZERO. Callers are instructed by the phone to enter a number on the keypad. When completed, the receiver then rings and audibly announces the caller. That has to be done only once then that number is placed in the “allowed” list. The phone has many features, but it is not an intuitive learning experience and the included printed instructions could/should be better. The instructions are adequate for a few basic, necessary functions for basic use and the call blocking. Trying to interpret the instructions differently and pecking buttons got me to additional functions. Trying to get things accomplished through the government’s Do Not Call List was useless. This phone was immediately and dramatically positive. If an undesirable caller does slip through there is a large, red Block button on the receiver which ends the call and blocks it. The audible call announcement (when set for that function) is mechanical, but clear. The receiver units seem reasonably sturdy and the buttons don’t rattle around. 91 year old slightly impaired eyes don’t seem to have problems with the information screen or buttons on the receiver.

If you are hearing static on your phone, reception breaks in and out or experiencing humming noise on the background while using your cordless phone, it might be caused by a transmission or electric interference, noise can also come from the phone lines, it would be best to locate the source of the interference first and a simple method of determining this would be to verify if static is heard on your other set of phones aside from the Panasonic. Relocate or plug the Panasonic phone to a different area where there is less interference. If you are subscribing to DSL/ADSL service, it is recommended to use a DSL filter. Most DSL/ADSL service providers would have the filters available for their subscribers, you may also check out your local electronic stores for availability. -M

I especially wanted caller ID and speed dial. This phone has those features and I am still getting used to it. It has more than my previous phone that I have not used as yet.

Pretty much same but like the addition of call block…that ray gun sound! Bought this model as top of the series and was only available at Best Buy online. Solid phone. DW
