But I cannot use the cordless phone to answer a call or call out. The phone goes dead until I put it back on the receiver. I had another Panasonic Answering System for 23 years. It worked like a charm. Very disappointed!

The base unit has more functions than most folks will need. The instruction booklet is over 50 pages. Most of the functions can be controlled from the handsets. Good value

No Voice mail promp set up
