The Panasonic - KX - TGD892S DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone Sytem With Bluetooth Pairing For wireless Headphones- Silver is the most technologically the most advanced home phone system I have ever used. Even so it is also easier to use than any other cordless home phone system I have ever used. With the bright back lit screen which is also the brightest I have ever seen makes it easy to see what is on the screen and not only that the numbers and letters are larger than the other three cordless phone systems that I have. We have been through using all of those and they all are to difficult for my wifes mother to see the screen or navigate anything on the menu. Now we have this Panasonic Cordless system and it is also easier to use because of all of the smart features on it. I love all of the automatic call blocking features and how it learns what numbers are okay and which to block. Not only that the system also has one touch block which is also simple to use. Believe me this is important for our household because my mother-in-law wants to talk to everybody even people she should not be talking to. Additional features that really stand out to me are the voice answer which enables you to answer the phone without pushing any buttons or touching the phone because it answers in speaker phone mode when you do this. This is a great feature if you need to answer a call and you are cooking or have your hands full for any other reason. Another feature that could come inhandy is the alrm system which can get you up in the morning or from a nap. It includes a snooze feature a text memo display feature and the ability to store three different alarms on each handset. The other feature that stood out to me as something new to me on a cordless home phone system is the baby alarm feature. This is not just a simple baby monitor either you can actually use it to monitor when you are not at home. When it detects sound it will call the number you assign to it like your cell phone and you can hear what is going on. Seriously though people do not use it to leave your baby at home while you go out shopping or anything. It does not warn you about that in the handbook.so you have to use your own common sense for that one. Otherwise you can use it with another handset from another room in the house like a normal baby monitor. This Pansonic cordless phone system also has a talking caller id which I also though was cool. You do need to program the persons name and number into the handset system for this but it is great to know whether you want to answer the phone or not so you do not need to run for the phone since it says it while still on the base.It also has all of the regular features of a cordless home phone system like caller id an answering system a phone book and other features you would normally find. The bottom line is this phone system will reduce your stress level and make your life easier. It does all of tha for a good price so if you find yourself in the market for one I would seriously consider this Pansonic unit. It is expandable up to six handsets.

This is a perfect phone for our landline. Our old phone was extremely glitchy so we never really upgraded. Let’s just say, we’re thrilled to have this! It’s super easy to setup. Just plug it into the wall, into the phone jack and there you go. Setting the correct time and date was simple and the callerID feature is fantastic. It’ll even announce the ID on incoming calls! I wear glasses and the display screen is clear and large for me to read the information. This model comes with 2 phones, but you can always add more. The manual says you can add up to six handsets, so it’s perfect for those that like it, but want more. I tested the device by calling it from my cell phone and then calling my cell phone. I was really surprised and happy by the comfort of the phone in my hand. It also had nice crisp sound. My house is about 1600 sq feet, so I know it should have a strong connection to the base if I am talking to someone and walk around. Pros: Easy setup Comfortable in hand 2 phones! Battery operated Paired nicely with Bluetooth! Blocking ability Large data component for messages Speaker phone doubles as a baby monitor Clear sound Large display screen (helpful for older eyes) Cons: Nothing at the moment, it performs better than we hoped! Overall this is a fantastic landline phone and I recommend it. I know people use their cell phones, but you really can’t beat the features at this price. The upgraded model comes with 3 phones, but this is perfect for a small to medium household.

I've had a Panasonic phone system in my house for the past 15 years or so. This new phone seems to be a successor to the one I am replacing it with. The basics are the same, but it seems Panasonic has done a lot of tweaking over the years. The initial setup is easy enough. Plug everything in, install the rechargeable AAA batteries into the handsets and let them charge for 8 hours or so. The two handsets that come with the system are already connected to the base. Once they are charged up, the phone can be used. I really like that this new system uses standard AAA rechargeable batteries instead of a proprietary battery that other manufacturers use. The handsets are a little larger and the buttons are easier to push than the old set. The buttons are backlit. However, the buttons around the circular pad up top only illuminate around the perimeter of the button. This makes it difficult to see what the buttons are at night; you only know where they are located. Reception and range with this phone system is just as good as the old ones. I get clear calls throughout the house and even my small yard with no issue. The speakers are a little louder and a little clearer, but the difference is not as dramatic as I had hoped it would be. I actually purchased 2 additional handsets so I now have a total of 4. These were way harder to find than they should have been and they are not inexpensive. Additionally, they took 2-1/2 weeks to be delivered. I needed these additional handsets for the phone to be useful to me. Setting them up was extremely simple. Hold a button on the base for 5 seconds and place the handset on its charging base. a few seconds later, it was paired. Now that I have them, the phone system is great. I will likely get another handset or two so I can have handsets in every room on the first floor, one on the second floor and one in the basement. I probably would have been better off getting the set with additional handsets but this is what was available to me. The Bluetooth connectivity works well. I connected 1 handset to a set of headphones (cheap AirPod imitations) and another to a Bluetooth speaker. The speakerphone on the handset is OK but using a Bluetooth speaker makes a huge difference. You just need to remember that you still need to speak into the handset. Using the headphones is the best way to use the BT feature. You can keep the handset nearby. You get the best sound this way. Setup is easy enough once you know what you are doing. It took me a couple minutes to go thru the menus to figure it out. In my experience, Panasonic makes the best phones. The old system I had probably could have kept going but the battery life was dropping quickly and the buttons were becoming difficult to push. The new features are nice too. I have no doubt that this new system will keep going for years to come…

My mother-in-law still regularly uses her land line, but her old cordless phone had battery issues and didn’t reach her office in the far corner of her house. This new system fix her issues and she loves the added features and easy to use design. + Easy setup. The inside of the box lid contains basic instructions. I connected the base unit to the phone line and plugged the additional handset in on the far side of the house. As soon as it was plugged in it notified us that voicemail was currently configured by our service provider, and we skipped the local voicemail setup for now (it is great that it gives this option). +The design of the phone is sleek and comfortable to hold. The buttons and display are large and easy to read. There is a backlight that lights up the display and buttons. The caller ID can be set to be read aloud. There is also a handy locator button on the base to track down a lost handset. + Calls are clear and the volume is great on both ends. With family talking in the background, and the TV on, it was still easy to hold a conversation. It also easily reaches every room of her 2 story, 2600sqft house with no interference or dropped connections. The handset also has a speakerphone mode with great volume. + I was able to easily pair the phone with a generic wireless Bluetooth headset (nothing fancy). There is a clearly marked button for pairing (not buried in a menu). Once both the phone and the headset were in pairing mode, they immediately connected. + We also tried out the call block button (my work phone was the unlucky test). I was expecting to have to enter a number, but you just hit the “call block” button when the phone rings and it prompts the caller to say their name so you can screen the call, then you confirm whether to block them (sends them to voicemail) or not. Don’t worry, if you block someone by mistake, it easy to unblock them in the phone’s menu.

Great cordless answering system for landlines

While many people nowadays are getting rid of their land lines, for those of us that still do have them cordless phones and answering machines are a must. The Panasonic KX-TGD892 Cordless Phone and Answering Machine System is replacing an older system just like this one that we have used for many years. The Panasonic, KX-TGD892 cordless phone and answering system is easy to set up, just plug your phone line into the base/digital answering machine and plug it in. There is one handset that charges in the base and the KX-TGD892 system has one other handset. All you need to do is find a place with a plug and plug the charging base in for the additional handset. The KX-TGD892 system is expandable for up to six total headsets. I have added an additional two for a total of four handsets in my household. Setting up the digital answering machine is easy and I recorded my own custom greeting in no time. The batteries on the handset needs to charge for a bit, and if the battery life is anything near what I had on the previous Panasonic answering system I had it will prove to be more than enough for your needs. The handsets have full duplex speaker phone capability, talking caller ID, you can use an intercom between each handset, and the base is wall mountable if needed. The hand sets are shock resistant and withstand normal drops, wear and tear. Talking caller ID is a great feature so when the phone rings you can understand who is calling and whether you desire to answer the call or have the answering system pick up. Another cool feature is the ability to pair the hand sets with Bluetooth headphones which is an interesting feature I’m looking forward to using for true handsfree use. Now to call quality. I noticed a marked difference in sound quality, both of the caller calling me and the way I sound to the callers when compared to my older units. The sound is crystal clear, tone is great and volume is more than sufficient. The range on the KX-TGD892 Handsets is great and I can walk all over the house (3500 sq feet) and outside my house and still maintain a connection. Some additional pretty cool features are call blocking, Robo call blocking, telemarketer call blocking, etc. which is pretty important in today’s world. The white backlit display on the handsets is large, and the keypad is illuminated for easy, use and dialing. You can check messages by hitting the “Play” button on the base unit or just pick up one of the handsets which will indicate if you have any messages and if you do you can listen to and delete messages right from each handset which is very convenient. If you are in the market for a cordless landline answering system that is expandable up to six handsets, then look no further than the Panasonic KX-TGD892 answering system it checks all the boxes for me.

Believe it or not, there are still plenty of people who have a “home phone”. My elderly parents wouldn’t have it any other way. They have tried phones from lower-end brands that didn’t last that long. We’ve owned similar Panasonic cordless phones and they work great and last forever. This Panasonic - KX-TGD892S DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System with Bluetooth Pairing for Wireless Headphones is quite an upgrade and feature rich. We set it up with the equivalent of a land-line, basically a VoIP phone line (Voice over Internet Protocol) with an adapter that plugs right into the existing house phone wiring thru a standard RJ-11 phone jack. The base is not that bulky even though it has the digital answering machine that includes a good size display that will show you how many messages you have. The handsets are well built, just the right size and weight, light enough so your hand doesn’t get tired if you’re on the phone for a long time. Two handsets are included with this particular model, and you can easily add up to 6 total if you have a larger house with many rooms. As it turns out that may not even be necessary because the bluetooth pairing capability and range is amazing. Not sure how Panasonic does it, but once the bluetooth earbuds or headphones are paired I can be anywhere in the house, even outside in the backyard and I’m still connected. Audio quality is great all around, earpiece, speakerphone or bluetooth headset. Among other great features are the bright 1.6” backlit display and illuminated keypad and the legendary Panasonic Talking caller ID that will read out loud the name or phone number of your caller, now also available in Spanish. Additionally some cell phone-like capabilities such as call blocking of Telemarketers and Auto Robocalls. Rechargeable battery life is also great and unlike cellphones the batteries are removable. Overall I would recommend the Panasonic - KX-TGD892S DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System as a well built, reliable, feature rich, easy to use expandable cordless phone system.

Finding the right home phone system can be difficult depending on the needs of people in the household. This 2 handset system by Panasonic checks all the boxes including ones I don't currently need. It's smaller and more comfortable to hold than my previous phone. The display, though not in color, has higher definition lettering making them easier to distinguish. The keypad, though standard size, has enormous numbers for those who have trouble focusing with old age. The phones came with low battery and required overnight to fully charge the (old school) NiCad batteries. Setup was simple and straightforward, plug it in and connect the phone line. Then go in the menu, set the time and record your greeting for the answering machine. There are many options for ringtones including a selection of melodic ones (none of which I'd want to hear more than once). The one-touch Bluetooth headphone connection made it easy to pair a set of headphones, my only problem was figuring out how to put the headphones on pairing mode. I've not tried the call blocking feature which also has a dedicated button as, surprisingly, I've gotten few calls. There's a whole sub-menu on call blocking, scam alerts, auto blocking, etc. that people can utilize to limit nuisance calls. Calls are quick to respond, clear and limit background noise making it easier to understand your caller. The answering machine is loud and clear, announcing the date and time of the call. The speakerphones are equally loud and crisp, with the microphone relaying your voice without being right in front of it. Having a second handset to place in the bedroom gives you better access and can act as an intercom when you need it. It also has a baby monitor feature whereby you can listen through another handset's microphone and can even adjust the sensitivity. So many things for one phone system that can appeal to both young parents and the elderly alike. I think this system has the best mix of features and should seriously be considered.

The Panasonic KXTGD892 is a 2 handset cordless phone to replace my old Panasonic cordless which is about 12 years old and at the end of its life. Actually, my old unit has held up well, with me only changing the batteries once in each handset. This phone set has a built in answering machine, and a new and needed feature of spam call blocking. It can pair with bluetooth headsets, and I am told with my cell phone as well, which I have not tried as of yet, but it sounds like it could be a interesting feature. Setting up the phones was easy and quite intutitive. The phone display helps walk you through the set up. Setting up the digital answering machine was fairly easy and the play back quality is great. Call quality was very good and I did not notice any interference except in may kitchen which was minimal. Each handset has caller ID with blocking, and speaker phone. A nice added feature is talking caller ID which will literally tell you who is calling if you are not near a handset- its in english and spanish! The display was bright and easy to read (not color). Battery life is excellent and it appears to charge quickly on its base. The handsets feel good in the hands and are fairly light. A couple things I would like is a belt clip for the handsets, and the ability to maybe add personal ring songs. Otherwise, this set up serves its purpose well for me, and more than replaces my old unit.

Pro: Works with any bluetooth headphones Con: Volume is low I haven’t owned a landline for almost a decade so it took some getting used to using this type of phone again. It does take a lot of button presses, but setting everything up wasn’t an issue. Standard functions like call transfer, call sharing, and intercom are all there. The call volume is on the low side. The bluetooth features lets you use any headphones or earbuds with the handset as you would with a cell phone. Setting up takes a few steps, but once it’s paired, it works as expected. The headphone will only be paired with one handset at a time. The range is about 20 feet before the signal starts dropping. It took a while to get used to answering the phone with the bluetooth. If answering from the handset, you have to press the bluetooth button located at the bottom to answer otherwise it will default to the handset. During a call, you can switch to bluetooth by pressing the same button. Calls can also be answered directly by tapping the headphones directly. The call quality will depend on the headphones used. There’s additional features like voice activated call answering and baby monitor. They may seem useful, but they don’t really work that well. Voice activated isn’t reliable and could trigger with background noise. Baby monitor mode will relay sound from one handset to another, but it doesn't pick up sound that well. I wouldn’t bother with any of the none phone call features. Having been used to smart phones with touch screens, using these types of phones did feel somewhat clunky at first. Navigating menus required a lot of button presses, and entering text with the numeric keys is cumbersome. Still, the ability to use bluetooth headphones adds a useful feature to the older style phones. Overall there’s no real negative other than the volume being on the lower side. It’s a landline phone with an added benefit of being hands free.

We live in a rural area where one of the major carriers has a very weak signal so having a landline is needed for my wife who doesn't want to switch with my daughter and me. Our 20+ year old Panasonic cordless just doesn't hold a charge anymore so and upgrade was needed. The Panasonic KX-TGD892S checks all the boxes we needed - cordless, long range, great battery life, and one check she didn't think about needing - handsfree calling with bluetooth earbuds. The range is fantastic. I've gone all over the house, upstairs and down, and outside without dropping signal. The calls come in clear also. I didn't make use of the speaker phone because we generally don't do group calls and the use of the bluetooth buds is far more convenient. One thing I would have liked is a belt clip to make it easier to carry around instead of using a pocket, which sometimes is too shallow of full to stuff a phone in. Messages come in clear but the built-in speaker is a bit lower than our old unit. Still loud enough to hear, but harder to hear if the TV is on. The call block feature is nice, but most of our spam is already caught by our phone unit - Wireless Internet & Home phone unit. So I can't say how well it does since we have an intermediate device handling that duty. Pretty happy with the upgrade and wouldn't mind grabbing another Panasonic again when it's time to upgrade.

This Panasonic Cordless phone is perfect for my small buisness! It comes with two cordless handsets and two docks for the phones. My faborite feature of this is that it can be paired to bluetooth woreless headphones, which is perfect for me when i am trying to multitask and walking around away from the handheld phone. Having this feature allows me to answer calls while im busy. It also has a digital answering machine which is great for my customers when they need to leave me a message after buisness hours. The phones feature talking caller id, auto robo call back, and clear and loud capabilities. I love that i have the option to add up to 6 more handsets. The numbers and the screen are big and bright making it easy to read and use. The ringtone is loud, when talking on them i have no issues with static or connection. Overall these phones are great for home or your buisness and my favorite feature is being able to use a bluetooth headset with them for when i am at my busiest moments. The phones are lightweight and fit perfectly into your hand.

Display is clear and phone charges quickly, however, not much else to say is good. What should be the main feature, sound quality, is very poor. When using the speaker phone and with the volume at full you find yourself bringing the phone up to your ear to understand the distant end and my hearing is fine. If you or another member of your household have hearing difficulties I strongly suggest shopping around and avoiding this one.

Panasonic - KX-TGD892S DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone I hopefully am not the only one who still has a land-line! If you do, this is a nice phone to have! Out of the well packaged box – it was very easy to set up and wall mount the main base unit, and you have an additional table mount phone. The handhelds need to be charged before use but doesn’t take too long. States that you “should” use Ni-MH AAA batteries instead of regular AAA. – but the battery life is good so far. I do have VM with my home phone service but I have wanted to get a unit with an answering machine for retrieval convenience for the rest of the family. I did set up my VM as a back up in case the phone is in use and the machine doesn’t pick up – just changed the number of rings to accommodate the VM system. The units are nice but I think the handsets are a bit lighter than my other cordless phones that I replaced. Also, I have a harder time holding the phone between my cheek and shoulder, they keep slipping off and I can’t hear the caller very well when doing this. The phone system is expandable to add in more units if wanted. The buttons on the phones are a nice size and the features are well listed on those buttons. I really like the call block feature where I can go in and manually block a number for those that slip through the Spam feature that is on the phones. It also comes with a Baby Monitor feature bit I have no use for that. The unit comes with a handset locator feature that is nice if you can’t remember where you put the handheld – yep, I’ve used it already LOL The machine comes with a prerecorded message but you can personalize it as well. There is also a cool feature where you can record conversations too – not sure I will use it but never know. It was very easy to pair up my earbuds for the times I need to walk around and can’t hold the unit while having a conversation. We all love that it announces the caller ID so we don’t have to jump up to see who is calling! The range is good as well, reaches out to my mailbox at the street. Nice job with this phone Panasonic!

I have been using Panasonic cordless phones for over 20 years and they have been the best phones by far. They are very reliable and well-made phones. This new 892 series adds a lot of great new features. You can now block up to 1000 calls where the previous model only allowed for 250. In addition, there is one ring scam blocking and telemarketing blocking. The phones were very easy to set up and the voice mail set up is the same as my previous Panasonic so set up was a breeze. I did encounter a strange occurrence when I first set up the phones where the time on the phone would reset to an hour earlier. I ended up going in to the settings options and set the time to manual instead of caller ID mode. Turns out my ISP had done an upgrade and the time was set incorrectly on their end. The sound quality of these phones is outstanding on both ends of the call. This system now has the ability to Bluetooth to a set of headphones. I tested this feature with several of my headphones and pairing was easy and worked great. You can receive calls with your headphones as well as make calls. I really like the fact that the second handset does not require a phone line connection. This allows you to place the handset anywhere you have an electrical outlet. This is very convenient as I wanted a phone in my master bathroom which does not have a phone line. You can have up to a total of 6 handsets. One change Panasonic made to this phone which seems minor is that when you review missed calls and want to erase a call it now defaults to yes instead of no where I would have to toggle up to yes to delete. There is a locator function if you misplace a handset. The phones are attractive with the silver finish. All my other ones are black. The handsets have a good feel and are comfortable in your hand. All in all, this is a great set of phones and if past experience is any indication, I will have these for a very long time. For the price these are a great value and I would highly recommend them.
