The audio quality is really poor and I would not recommend to anyone. The return date was passed by one day, otherwise, I could have returned it.

Great 2 handset option if you need a land line

This is a great basic land line phone that does the job. Set up was less than 5 minutes and worked great right out of the box. The call quality is nice and clear and the reception is pretty good even from the far end of my backyard. You can add phone numbers to the internal memory, but it’s pretty tedious. It’s the old style press the number multiple times to cycle through letters. Annoying but I’m fine with it because almost every adult now days has a cell phone, this is really for our kids and when someone wants to call the house but doesn’t need to talk to a specific person, for example to see if someone is home to receive a package or delivery. So really this is for inbound calls. I tried connecting it to a Bluetooth headset and it worked fine, but I don’t see myself using this particular phone for a long enough stretch that it makes it worth switching to a different headset. This device has a built in answering machine which works fine, but my line has a digital voicemail that emails me a copy of the message which is much or convenient so I turn it off. If you want to use the answering machine I’m sure it would be great. It does allow for using the answering machine to leave voice messages from a handset. We left a few messages to each other to try it out and it worked to give a general notice like “Whoever is home first remember to let the dog out to use the bathroom” or something like that. But if everyone who you would expect to get the message has a cell phone, a group text is more convenient. Really, there are a lot of bells and whistles that could be valuable to some people but for me just go unused. The one feature that I actually hate is the call blocking feature. This should be the most useful one, but the design just irritates me. If you keep getting unwanted calls from a spam number, you can at the touch of a button block that number and not have to worry about them anymore. The problem is that the button is too easy to hit. My kids pick up the phone and realize the caller isn’t for them and try to had the phone to someone else. They have more than once accidentally hit the call block in the process so now that legitimate caller can’t call anymore. And it’s a bit of an irritation to unblock someone. On top of that, the spam callers keep switching up their numbers anyway so its not like we get the same number calling over and over so the blocking doesn’t really stop anything. I appreciate their effort in trying to reduce robocalls, but in practical usage it doesn’t seem to help much. If a number does get accidentally block, its also easy to miss that it happened and you could be missing a lot of future calls without knowing it. Overall a great phone with a clear signal. If you need a landline this is a great option.

We were in need of a new phone for our home. And our “old, worn out phone” just happened to be a Panasonic. This version, the KX-TGD892S is almost identical to our older version that we had for over 15 years. Now most people today do not have the need for a home phone, I do, and I am thrilled w/ this new Panasonic phone system. I love the idea of having the old base type system w/ a separate phone in our bedroom. I like the features of the bigger font on the screen, I like the clarity in the sound that you receive, and I love the fact that this Panasonic has a feature our old one did not have, the ability to connect it to Bluetooth headphones. Which is a great feature. The phones are very well made and are pleasant to look at. They are lightweight and have large numerical buttons as well. They come w/ everything you need to get started in minutes including the batteries for the phone, a power cord (which I didn’t need as the old power cord was exactly the same) and a phone line. The included answering machine may be a thing of the past to most people but I still use ours as we travel a lot and I like to know who called while I was away and it allows me to keep up w/ what I need to know. The only drawback I have to this phone system is that the volume on the answering machine could be a little louder. This newer version is not as loud as our older Panasonic. If you are looking and in need of a Cordless phone w/ the capability to record miss calls, then don’t hesitate to buy this Panasonic - KX-TGD892S. You won’t be disappointed

I am glad Panasonic is still making these cordless phones. I recently picked up Panasonic - KX-TGD892S model for our home use. I know a lot of people who use a landline still however I am using this phone set for our Internet telephone home service. It is a very easy set up and at the end I am happy with great audio quality this phone produces. I think Panasonic has perfected this category as they have been in business for a long time making cordless phones. I really like that they added a Bluetooth function so that you can easily connect a wireless headset to it. When I am using this phone I can connect it to my wireless speaker and use it when I am on a long phone call. Call audio quality as I mentioned above is very good, both on the receiving end and on my end I can hear speech loud (if necessary) and clear. It is using DECT 6.0 for wireless transmission so it does not interfere with my wireless network in any way and is secure enough for use at home. I always add a few extra headsets to my phone, that way if I get a call in my basement the phone receiver is readily available. I like all the ringer options and the answering machine stores my personal welcome message like in old good times. This is definitely a good purchase and is always a reliable way to stay in touch with your loved ones.

Panasonic knocks it out the park again! This is the fifth Panasonic phone system I have had. This was a pleasant surprise to me. They have shown consistency with their manufacturing process and build quality. There won't be a negative part of this review, it's that good. The size of the handsets are good. I have pretty big hands so that was a huge bonus and has been for a few years now with their handsets. Very clear speakers (ear and speaker on rear of handheld) so you won't be wondering what the caller on the other end is saying no matter which way you use the phone. Clear display even for those whose eyes are starting to get blurry. Buttons feel good and have a nice tactile feel to them and they are backlit. Bluetooth is a great addition to a headset for a house phone. Pairs easily to headsets and conference speakers. You'll love the call blocking feature. Older models had a very small list of number that you could block, this one has about 1,000 you can block (huge jump from older models). If you have a big house, say over 1500 square feet you might want to buy a additional phone to pair with this set. Definitely a excellent purchase and I would recommend to anyone, buy this if you are in need of a new phone or just want to upgrade. That bluetooth feature is cool!

This unit made for a great replacement for my existing landline phone. I appreciate that it came with its own capability of taking voice messages, but that you're not *required* to use it; you can disable its voice messaging if your home phone service comes with it, for instance. The one thing I am critical of is the length of the phone cord that comes with it - I'm not able to put this where I want it to go because the main base has to be tethered directly to my wall plate (as opposed to being wireless like my last one) so the short cord is a bit of a hindrance. I have tested the call blocking functionality and it works great. I haven't seen its one- or two-ring auto-block in action yet but I'm sure it'll work well, too. The Bluetooth pairing is easy to set up but is a bit clunky to use; instead of answering the phone with the 'Talk' button or pressing the 'Talk' button after entering the number you want to dial, if you want to use your BT device to talk on you push the blue "pair" button to make or receive the call. Kinda weird and unintuitive but the instructions were clear enough. Overall, great range and I love that it comes with 2 handsets so I can have one upstairs & downstairs.

I'm probably in the minority when it comes to having a household phone. Most people primarily use cellular phones for phone calls, but with teens at home that I have yet to allow to own a cellphone, this is their primary way of communicating with us and their friends. Cordless phones have changed greatly since I bought my first one and these have stepped up the game even further. The last two sets of cordless phones have both been made by Panasonic. I find they have the best clarity, features and have lasted the longest versus other brands that I have previously owned. These phones are crystal clear, have really good battery life and works well with my Vonage VOIP setup. The newest feature that I wasnt aware of was being able to pair my cell phone with this cordless phone. It's a pretty cool feature and allows me to put my cell phone and watch down so that I can enjoy some digital detox. The buttons are large and easy to find and i really like the backlit buttons and the intercom feature. This is a quality set up from a great brand in cordless phones and I highly recommend them.

This phone is a great investor those people like myself who still own a landline. One cool feature with this phone is that you can connect a headset to it. This is good because you can also connect it to a blue tooth which’s means you can connect you wireless earbuds to the phone Shick can give you the convenience of being able to talk and not have to worry about lugging the phone around with you. You can be talking while you’re fixing dinner, washing cloths etc. it’s great because you have two headsets so you can have one phone in one location and one on another. These are so easy to hook up and just as way to pair with your blue tooth items. You can pair up to four different blue tooth devices but you can only connect one at a time. The chats lady pretty long on the phones and when it dies it doesn’t take long at all to charge completely. My advice is to put it directly back on the charger when you’d find to make sure it’s charged at all times . The buttons are just standard although I would like the buttons to be just a bit bigger, it’s ok,

This Panasonic cordless home phone equals features and benefits. It has a sleek, modern design that will look great in any home. The phone is also very easy to use, with large buttons and an easy-to-read display. One of the best features is its Bluetooth connectivity. This allows you to pair the phone with your Bluetooth headphones or speakers, so you can take calls hands-free. This is great for if you're busy in the kitchen or doing other things around the house. The phone base also has a built-in answering machine, so you can record messages especially if you don't have that feature like I don't from Spectrum. The answering machine can store up to 20 messages, and you can also choose to have the phone automatically answer after a certain number of rings. Another great feature of the phone is its noise reduction. This helps to block out background noise, so you can have clear conversations even if you're in some environments. Overall, the Panasonic KX-TGD892S is a great cordless home phone. It has a sleek design, easy-to-use interface, and a variety of features that make it a great choice for anyone looking for a new home phone. Pros: * Sleek, modern design * Easy to use Cons: * Battery life is not as long as I would like it to be. * The phone's answering machine can only store up to 20 messages. * The phone's noise reduction feature isn't effective everywhere.

The Panasonic Phone has been a great upgrade for our home office. My husband still uses a land line for his business. We had a nother set we used for a long time, but they were starting to run out of battery quickly. We switched to these and he has been really happy. These phones set up extremely quickly and are easy to use. He likes that they announce the phone number or name of the person calling. This helps him know if he needs to drop things to answer or not. He also likes that you can hear the voicemail message on both phone holders. This allows him to be in either his office or garage and know what the caller is leaving a message about. We haven't found any cons with the phone so far in our use of them. We would definitely recommend these phones if you are looking to hook into a landline at at home office or small business. They are easy to set up, they are very easy to use, compact and the battery lasts for a decent Mount of time. And the color fits well with our home, very sleek.

For full disclosure, Panasonic is one of my two top favorite brands for phones. So, I got this set with expectations. Not only did Panasonic meet those expectations, they exceeded them. Now that the kids all have their own cell phones and no longer rush to answer the phone, I no longer needed my old set and preferred to have something smaller for my home office. I just got the set with the extra handset so I could place it upstairs and use it as an intercom when Alexa conveniently (for the kids) decides she doesn't want to drop in upstairs. But now the set on my desk is smaller and doesn't take up all the space with buttons I don't need. I was blown away by how easy the set up was. It seemed to set itself up. I've had difficulty in the past pairing my earbuds to various devices as they aren't a name brand and aren't used constantly. Not a problem with this set. I hit the Pair button and it immediately found my buds without issue. Done. I used them with the next call that came in instead of running back to my desk from another room and the volume was good and there was no problem picking up the sound from my mic. No more having to bring the handset with me when I'm away from my desk. No more forgetting to bring the handset back so it can charge either. I'm in heaven. The operating instructions are illustrated and thorough. There's a quick start guide to pair with wireless headphones as well as one for blocking and unblocking spam calls. There is also information on accessories such as available handsets for those with hearing loss or bad eyesight and one to take with you out to the pool without worrying about it getting wet. There is a range extender as well as a Key Detector you can get if you tend to lose your keys. There's a troubleshooting page as well as suggestions for tutorials to use the many features this phone has. The handsets use standard rechargeable batteries so no more having to search out which battery pack is needed when they start to die. Inputting names and numbers to the phonebook is simple. I'm still blown away by how easy this own experience has been. My 90 year old mother could set this up and use it. Oh, and in case you missed it, I recommend this phone.

The KX-TGD892S cordless phone system from Panasonic includes an attractive base unit with answering machine and one handset. The number of handsets can easily be expanded to a total of 6, enough to have a phones in almost every room of your home or small business. Most buyers will purchase this simply as a basic home phone to use with their existing landline service, offering clear and interference-free incoming and outgoing calls. However, Panasonic offers an amazing amount of features that certainly make this an attractive choice, including Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, a digital answering system, advanced call blocking features, and it can even announce callers in English or Spanish. Additionally for new parents, the handset can even be used as a baby monitor. Some of the features that I really enjoy as a previous owner of Panasonic telephones include the larger number pad with lighted keys on the handsets, simple-to-navigate menu system, and the Call Block feature. From the user manual, It appears that some Call Blocking features like blocking robocalls and telemarketing calls are already automated, with the option to add up to a thousand additional numbers to the list using the Call Block button on the handset. The Call Block definitely appears to work well as the number of telemarketers has dropped dramatically since installing the new phone. Having the Call Block feature also saves money, since some phone service charge an additional monthly fee for call blocking. The other feature that some users might frequently use is the hands-free connectivty to headphones (with microphone capability). To connect with Bluetooth devices, simply put the device in pairing mode and press the blue Pair button on the handset down for about 3 seconds to complete the connection. The base unit contains the telephone's answering system and very simple to operate. Both the base unit and handsets have a very small footprint so they won't take up valuable counter space. We have our Panasonic telephone connected to a residential VoIP service, and setting it up is as simple as connecting the phone to the VoIP equipment using a standard RJ-11 phone cord (included with the phone). I can't imagine using all of the features that Panasonic offers with this very affordable phone, but what I do enjoy most is their attractive design and overall quality, and that's why I chose Panasonic.

I suppose there aren't a lot of people who continue to use a landline, but there are still many reasons why one might be necessary. In my case, I have an 11 year old that still does not have a cell phone with a number to call out. There have been times when she needed to reach me by phone and a landline is her only option. We had an older cordless phone, but the range was short and the phone seemed to always have static. It was time to make an upgrade. The Panasonic KX-TGD892S.... what a long name... seemed to fill the need that I had for a phone that had two handsets, an answering machine, was easy to use and stored the numbers of all of my family members so it was easy to dial whoever we wanted to contact. The Panasonic phone seems to have great range for such a compact handset and so far does not seem to have any of the static problems that plagued my old cordless phone. My base is upstairs in a bonus room and I hated having to go upstairs to check the answering machine just to hear all of the spam messages, but this phone allows me to check my messages from the second handset that happens to be by my favorite spot on the couch. The handset also shows missed calls and caller ID and has room for 100 numbers to be stored and can be separated into different groups. The units came ready to use, only needed to install the batteries and charge them up. Volume on the handset is adequate and the units are small and lightweight. These are a huge improvement over my old handsets and are well worth the asking price for those of us who still have a need for a landline. I consider these a good buy.

This set of two Panasonic cordless phones has all of the features I’d think one would want in cordless phones and some that will be new to those with older Panasonic phones. In terms of the design of the phones themselves, the silver gives a nice contrast with the well sized, easy to read black buttons. The backlit display and illuminated keypad also help for ease of use. We like the layout of the phone buttons as those features that are used most frequently are within one or two clicks. The system can be expanded to a total of six cordless handsets. This Panasonic cordless phone set takes care of key features such as: Speakerphone – volume is quite good, doubles as a baby monitor Digital answering machine – 17 minutes of record time or one can turn off if not needed Phonebook and speed dial – can hold up to 100 names and 9 numbers to assign speed dial Talking caller ID – nice option to be able to hear caller ID info, instead of viewing screen Call block – such a great feature to be able to manually block calls by hitting Call Block button Pair up to 4 wireless headphones – no need to remove headphones when a call comes in The call quality and clarity are very good. So far, we’ve had no issues with static or distortion of any kind. Pairing earbuds was straight forward and call quality was good. Manual call block has been wonderful that we can hit one button and no longer receive ongoing calls from an annoying solicitor. We’ve had really good luck in the past with Panasonic phone quality so I’d expect no different from this set as it has the same feel and build quality.

Ahh yes, the long forgotten "house phone." I still have a landline in my house and like to upgrade every few years. They all do about the same thing but I've been a Panasonic customer for many years. Their phones are reliable and very durable. When we buy a new one for our house, we rotate the old one to the garage to live out its final years. Panasonic makes indestructable phones... like the good old Razor but a home phone. No cord, no antenna, a built in answering machine and great battery life. The buttons are big enough for Nana and Grampa to see. They light up when you use them so you can see in the dark. There is an awesome feature where you can hook up your bluetooth ear buds to the phone and use them instead of the handset. This cordless set comes with two handsets and can expand to more if needed. Two is sufficient for my house. I haven't found any cons to this set. The box includes 2 handsets, charging cradles, charging cords, land line cord, and rechargeable batteries. Buy with confidence!
