Instructions are not easy to follow

Have not yet been able to record an answering message so I'm still using the pre-recorded message. I think that part of my problem is that I am 88 years old and am not as sharp as I used to be..

This has nice features but not sure how durable as all base, phones etc. made out of lightweight plastic.

Reviews suggested this to be a good replacement. The sound was fuzzy right out of the box.
