I wanted an extension in a basement bedroom that has no phone jack in it, and it works great with the signal from the base unit in the upstairs kitchen. I really like the call block feature. I was getting a lot of "junk" calls, and it was really easy to block these annoying numbers! Overall, I really like these phones!

If you are hearing static on your phone, reception breaks in and out or experiencing humming noise on the background while using your cordless phone, it might be caused by a transmission or electric interference, noise can also come from the phone lines, it would be best to locate the source of the interference first and a simple method of determining this would be to verify if static is heard on your other set of phones aside from the Panasonic.
You can also try to relocate or plug the Panasonic phone to a different area where there is less interference.
If you are subscribing to DSL service, it is recommended to use a DSL filter. Most DSL service providers would have the filters available for their subscribers, you may also check out your local electronic stores for availability.

No more robo calls!

These won’t stop the human callers because it asks you to push a number so your call goes through and the automated calls fail to push the number. Also, the numbers you enter into the phone book are allowed to ring through to you and the caller ID announces the caller. I’m only giving 4 stars because I haven’t had them long and I can’t speak to their durability yet but they seem just like all the other phones in this category.

The only thing that can improve on this phone is the battery life. My previous ones, I could go for 3 days or longer without charging them. These only last a day if you use the phone. Without using it, it lasts about 2 days

Batteries in NEW phone wouldn't all Charge

Unfortunately that some of the batteries sent with the phone were old and won't take a charge. I tried to get Best By to just give me some batteries but they said I had to return the whole system and then I'd be out of phone service while the replacement set charged for a day. Tried to get someone from Panosonic but couldn't get a person. ANNOYED
