Great set of cordless phones

They work great and have some wonderful features. Installation is simple. I look forward to accessing the new features on this version of the cordless phones.

Affordable/works well

I am very happy that it is similar to my previous phone, but the cordless phones feel lighter, more cheaply made and my voice sounds odd to me, but it sounds fine to the people that I am talking to, which is what matters. It is an affordable phone that works well.

Easy to read displays, esp the base station. Clear voice, works great with my older Moto Z phone. Love the talking caller id, text alerts, and call block. Only downsides are, elderly father cannot understand the talking caller ID words, and it's not Loud enough in the ear pieces...volume is not as loud as my older Panny cordless phones. Speaker phone could be a little louder also, but it's ok that's what he uses.

We don't use all of the phone's features, but there are more choices than most anyone would need. The one feature that we dislike is that the phone rings silently twice before the ring is audible. This causes some callers to hang up before we can get to the receiver to answer because we have only heard two rings and they have given up after "four." There may be a way to defeat this "feature", but we ca't find it.

Please note that there is a feature called "First Ring On/Off". If you turn it off, the first ring will be muted for all calls and if you turn it on, the first ring for all calls will be heard, including calls from blocked phone numbers. To do this, press "Call Block" on a handset, then scroll until you see "One Ring for Blocked Call", select the option, and then select "Yes". Hope this helps! -C
Great phones, but with some concerns!

I wanted one with the 5 handsets, as our house is two story and needed an additional phone for the upstairs level. The reason for the 3-star review is that we only recently charged and connected the phones. We are noticing that if any handset is left off the charger overnight we are getting constant announcements that the battery has no charge. Recently unplugged three of the phones on the upper level because of some painting and re-flooring. After less than 24 hours, these three handsets again began playing that message. We finally had to remove the batteries to stop the annoying messages. Our older phones will hold a charge for days, and they are 7-8 years old. We may be returning for an exchange, as we have an extended return period with Best Buy. The phone did have good reviews, but there were some others who reported having this same problem. We will probably try another set of the same, as we love the phones and all the features to block spam and telemarketers.

Great system

Upgraded an aging uniden that my mom did not want to part with. She wanted it to have the feature to place a P or pause when dialing and this has it. We also set it up to read out loud the caller id. Very helpful feature, we don't have to run and grab a cordless to see who is calling. The Panasonic call block filtering is great as well, we have seen a reduction in spam calls. I like it has the feature to link your cell phone for the cases where you don't want to use 2 different devices for calls. Definitely a great purchase and upgrade would highly recommend. If we ever have to upgrade down the line I would look at panasonic again.

Pretty good land-line phone

Regarding your insight about the voicemail indicator, if you are using the built-in answering system, the message indicator on the base unit will flash, and "New Message" will also appear on both the base and handsets. If you're instead using the Voicemail feature from your service provider, you should see "New Voice Mail", "Voicemail msg. via phone co." or a voicemail icon displayed on the handset.
