I am disappointed in the phone. When setting up the time on the base, I accidently chose a.m. instead of p.m. There was no way to get back to change it. I read the documentation but it was not helpful. I called support and the person told me to set the time on one of the hand held phones. I was able then able to set the time, however the base doesn't work the way I think it should.

Thank you for your review! Most of the settings are easier to adjust from the handsets. As the handsets are part of the system, the settings (such as time&date, answering machine settings, etc.) are going to apply to the base unit as well. -M Panasonic

A disappointing product. I have had Panasonic phone sets in the past that have been first-class products, and that is why I bought this one. I am sorry I did so. The sound in both the base and wireless handsets is tinny; it resembles what phones sounded like when I was growing up back in the 1950s. I’d have returned it but I had damanged th packaging, so, I will accept the loss.

Hello! Thank you for your review! If you are experiencing sound issues during phone calls, we recommend performing a test using the Intercom feature, provided you have more than one handset. If the sound remains clear during Intercom calls between handsets, the issue may lie with your phone line, either with the service from your provider or a physical line issue (such as damage). To perform an Intercom call, press the Intercom button on a handset and select another handset in your home. Have a conversation to assess the sound quality. Additionally, on a handset, press the MENU button, then the # key, and enter code 122. From there, use the UP and DOWN arrows to switch the line from B to A. Save the setting and press the OFF button to exit. If the issue occurs when connected to a cell phone, we suggest unpairing the cell phone by pressing MENU #6111 or #6112 (depending on whether it is cell 1 or cell 2), and then re-pairing it. We hope these steps help resolve the issue. -C Panasonic

Just navigating for what you want to set up is to much. My old phone which which was uniden, if I set to silent mode it takes care of everything, the ringer and not hearing messages from the answering machine. Panasonic you have to set it twice, one for the ringer and 1 for the answering machine. There is few other things I don't like, I would probably change phones with in a few months.

I don't have a review yet because I haven't been able to replace my old phone with the new one. The new one doesn't fit on my old base on the wall. I need someone to help me, but Geek Squad said they don't help with home phones!! I'll probably return the phone!

Hello Nana! Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry to hear that the KX-TGF882B does not fit on your old wall base and that you are having difficulty setting it up. If you wish to mount the new base unit in place of the old one, you will need to remove the mounting adapter from the previous unit by following the instructions in its operating manual. Once removed, you can then adjust the wall mounting adapter of the new unit to ensure proper installation. Be sure that the "UP WALL" label is facing upward when mounting. We hope this helps resolve the issue. -C Panasonic

    Old technology

Because of the lower demand for landlines, I assume, this is still "older" technology. I could not use the Bluetooth feature to connect any current over the head-headphones; I was able to find some that were about 3 years old and they could pair. The pairing instructions were fairly long and convoluted (still using a code system); pairing is not automatic. I wish I had found my review as this information isn't out there anywhere I could find.

I recently purchased the KX-TGF882B. I had done my research I thought and was ready to this run to the store for this phone. So I did and got it home, apply the start-up. so far, so good. the next morning I notice the base had 1 hour a head so I reset the clock again and the clock went ahead again. so I went on the web (Utube) and to my surprise my phone was not on the website. so I boxed up the phones and return everything. still in love with this model I ordered the same model because the Best Buy store didn't have any more of this model in stock. ran home and set phone #2 and got the same result, so I returned the phone to Best buy.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and feedback with us! Kindly be informed that the situation you experienced is related to a setting in the phone. The time has two settings: manual and caller ID auto. Your phone was set to Caller ID Auto, which is why the time changed according to the Caller ID service you have. You can change the setting by pressing MENU # 2 2 6 on the handset > go to Manual > press SAVE. After doing so, the time will not switch again. Panasonic

The speakerphone is hard to hear even at highest volume. The call block feature is nice and very effective. Call ID does not work if you are on an extension using a different make of phone. Advertised as a system that you can add more handsets; however, no handsets are available to buy from Panasonic that are same model that came with system.
