Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to get it to ring, or to get the answering machine to work! My last one, I just plugged everything in and it worked perfectly ... not this one. I've been too busy to take it back to Best Buy, but will next week and see if they can get it to work, or get me a replacement. Fortunately, I can make calls with it.

If you are are having trouble recording your greeting message, please press Menu, after that press the # key and enter 302 when you see the three lines on the screen. Following that, please make sure you select YES and the recording will start. After you have finished recording your greeting message, press Stop to save it. Please also ensure that the answering machine is turned ON, on the system. We hope this helps! - S

I am also not really satisfied with mailbox setup. Have to erase old calls or reviews each one before getting to new message after hearing for first time. Inconvenient as sometimes want to keep an old call . Otherwise serves the purpose for which intended.
